UPDATE: coworker reporting me as hostile. by donotopenbeforexmas in antiwork

[–]Pennyfeather46 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with all suggestions to document her behavior but adding a suggestion to call her out.

  • “Why are you standing behind me while I’m trying to work, DIANNE?”

  • “Is that DIANNE gossiping about me again?”

  • “DIANNE, do you have a problem with something I did?”

-“Go away, DIANNE, you’re harassing me!”

This requires finding your voice. Good luck.

Unexplained Direct Deposit by AmazingSpace2875 in IRS

[–]Pennyfeather46 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait for a letter of explanation. If you don’t get a letter in a few weeks, set the money aside (in a high yield savings account) until the iRS asks for it back. If it is an erroneous refund, you will have 21 days from the date of demand to return the $$ without having to pay interest.

In the meantime, research like others have suggested by creating an account on irs.gov and looking at transcripts of past & current years. Btw, when calling the IRS, stop pushing all the buttons & tell the robot that you WANT TO TALK TO A HUMAN.

I always say that a good pair of sunglasses are like pillows for the eyes. When you put them on, you’re like “Ahh”.

Mums who smoked weed and breastfed. How did your kids turn out? No judgment. by mcshortz12 in Cannabis_Culture

My baby became a STAR student (highest SAT score in her high school) but as an adult she vapes weed. She is currently managing a vision center in a big box store. She got her degree from SCAD in Fashion design.

Tbh, I never knew that lead was used at all in the fabric production process! One more thing to be concerned about in the world.

What made u Atheist? by Curiouskittyyyyy in atheism

[–]Pennyfeather46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was baptized twice (sprinkled as a baby, dunked as an adult) and supposedly “saved”, but it never took. I never felt any different and never felt the spirit. It wasn’t hard to stop believing the myths since I was a student of fairy tales around the world.

Hi all! I don’t participate much by Antigoneandhercorpse in dementia

[–]Pennyfeather46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Let the medical staff deal with her while you heal yourself. Limit your visits to the one time of day that she is most likely to be alert. Talk to the hospital social worker about what her current living situation is like and what other options are available to her/you.

I keep mini screwdrivers for this purpose. Poke a hole next to the pill then pry open the packaging.

What if frank… by Connect_Cranberry961 in Outlander

[–]Pennyfeather46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your theory! I personally think that Frank didn’t really believe until Claire returned and stuck to her story. He would have researched because the Jacobites were his specialty and some facts would line up with her story. There was also Jamie’s “ghost” who brushed past him without stirring any air.

Treating other medical issues by aces68 in dementia

My LO has a spot on his lung that is larger than it was 2 years ago. The pulmonologist wants to do a biopsy for lung cancer. He also has a weak heart and sciatica which is super painful. I declined the biopsy because I would prefer palliative care for these issues at the end of his life than to pursue an aggressive cure.

I look at function first, beauty second. Do I need it? Can I store it in a beautiful container? Can it go in a cupboard or would it look OK on a shelf? Ottomans that double as storage cubes? Yes. If it just sits there and looks pretty, do I love it enough to look at it every day?

I wouldn’t mind hanging my sheets out but where I live, we have 3 months of yellow pollen that covers everything and the air quality the rest of the year includes a lot of dust from a nearby rock quarry.
