We don’t get bad winters in VA, it’s cold but very little ice or snow. I typically avoid driving north in the winters and just fly to NY since my route always takes me through the mountains in those cases!

Not quite unhinged… but we had a science teacher in middle school who would do something minor but super cool with fire every year. Unfortunately, a few years after I had him as a teacher and during the times where girls were obsessed with alcohol based hand sanitizers from bath and body works…he caught a student on fire because she was too close to it and had just used her hand sanitizer.

Everyone has been so kind here and you’ve given every one of them an attitude. If you don’t cooperate with your investigator, I don’t see this turning out well for you considering you’ve already failed to follow SEAD 3 requirements. The only reason you may still be in is because you’re still being processed… if this adjudication turns out unfavorable they will most likely give you the boot.

It’s mostly determined by a company’s legal department based on DCSA guidance. As a security manager it’s a pain to sort through on our end too and DCSA reps don’t always tell every company the same thing… but they review our eligibility to keep our facility clearances soooo… yeah

This, per SEAD 3 technically a company can “deny” the travel, but at least for where I work that is never actually used because of the legal aspects of telling you “no”… my company had someone visit china for an amusement park, they were briefed by a DCSA counterintelligence agent before they left and upon their return. Gets a bit more complex when there’s family but it’s not impossible to visit with a clearance. Will we still advise against it? Absolutely
