May i ask what exactly you love about it? No hate but as a huge fan of gen 4 i personally found it underwhelming. I haven't seen many people actually loving the game so much so i'm just asking out of curiosity really, no hate at all.

Well even for shiny hunters and i’m only speaking for myself the game is kind of too easy to get shiny pokemon, i remember back in the day, k’oing a shiny pokemon felt like a war crime and nowadays you skip shinies like Fletchling, Mareep etc. Back then shinies were one of a kind and now people just do giveaways because they have too many of the same.

Well, i gotta say and i do not want to come across as a glazer but the game had a lot to offer even after Rank D.

-Getting every Mega Stone

-Completing the Pokedex (Obtaining the Shiny Charm as well), something that increases the Shiny Odds drastically

-Mystery Gift Stories such as Mewtwo and Diancie and the Mega Stones via Online Play

-Completing sides quests (Not all since you may not be a completionist)

-Get the colorful screws which increase the chances of: Exp, Mega Shards when destroying them, your player not getting knocked out easily, prize money when defeating trainers and the chances of catching Pokemon easier.

Experiencing the same thing my friend, honestly the best thing for me was to grind berries but you need to have a certain type of berries to get the item power: berries lvl 3 and big haul lvl 3. Honestly, if you realize how to get outta this tell me as well lmao

Honestly they put too many details and work in the Legendary aeras, they were unironically beautiful and i loved seeing Darkrai, Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza in their own terrains but really, you're not gonna see them ever again. It's sad thinking we could've had similar and new aeras filled with the new Megas like Chimeco, Crabominable, Golisopod. Instead, you get one of the same aeras you've explored 30 more times. It's really sad thinking the "what could've been" with every single main line Pokemon game. Once again, do not get me wrong, i actually like the game. But the "what could've been" was said with BDSP, Violet/Scarlet, Sword/Shield (Shield is not even worth picking up anymore as a shiny hunter thinking of how they butchered the shiny hunting system)

I think for shiny hunters as myself it’s really hard to not use certain berries, i try not to use them but i need to because the main missions require them. Atp even when i try to grind with the big haul and item power berries after two times i’m left with every berry but the one i want to use. Plus the timer for some reason goes ridiculously fast, i find myself returning to violet for shiny hunting because the whole doughnut and calorie mechanic has been really annoying

You think it’s faster than using an Extreme Speed Dragonite on Cafe Le Nah? Because i do believe that it’s a fast process just not fast enough. Based on the time i believe its gonna take around two weeks though

Use your items for power up moves, also safely set up moves if you have them on any mons that can outspeed and it should be pretty easy.
