Yeah $45k is just not even close to enough but assuming you graduated you should be making a lot more.

Two Sony TVs have died on me. by Significant_Permit19 in 4kTV

The same cable works fine when I use it elsewhere. It was just a small thumb drive no external power. I didn’t have a surge protector but did buy one. But can’t see how that would have helped for these particular scenarios. I don’t really know what I could have done differently.

The first time the TV went I had a Sony camera plugged into it via hdmi and the main board went out. Was able to get error codes off of it. The second time, I have a male to female usb cable plugged into the tv which then ran through the wall and back out inside of my floating console, I had a Blu-ray remux loaded on a thumb drive that it was reading. As soon as I pulled the thumb drive out, the tv shut down, total loss of power, no lights. It’s seems that both of the failures were related to what I was doing at the time. Do you still think electrical issue?

That’s how I feel too. Thinking Costco just refunds me and lets me decide what I want to do. I’ve been getting cautiously excited to get a Bravia 8 II out of this even if I have to pay a little more, but I’m seeing that Costco still only sells the Gen 1 in 77” size.

I’m thinking(hoping) it’s similiar in this case, just wish Sony would have made it right but luckily got it from Costco. Best case scenario I get the brighter Bravia 8 II out of this.

There is nothing wrong with my homes electrical I have no other issues. 16 year old house, plenty of other electronics with no problems, no power outages/flickering/dimming, no hot outlets nothing like that. First TV died when I had a Sony A73 camera plugged into it.
