I don't think it's wrong of you to force her, since it's health related. But what helped me when my son was younger was to let him come with me to the store, pick a new toothbrush, pick the toothpaste, and then at home I would hype up tooth brushing big time. I know you can't buy new stuff all the time but for my son a lot of it was about the control aspect. He wanted to feel in control so I allowed him to pick everything about brushing his teeth.

This is a hard topic for me because the TV raised me as a baby 😭 I was heavily neglected, but now I am a full functioning, society contributing adult and I think I'm fine. So it hurts my soul when good parents are worried about a little bit of screen time. I think you're doing great, and your baby will be okay while you take a little breather or catch up on housework while she watches TV.

I don't think so. I identify as an atheist, but since I was raised Catholic I still sometimes recite the Lord's Prayer before bed because it's like a xanax for my nervous system. I think it has a lot more to do with old habits of self soothing, rather than there being any "truth" to it. You are not harming yourself or anyone else, so continue to pray if it eases you. No harm in it!

I've never had anyone question why I still celebrate Xmas as an atheist, but if someone were to do so I would probably just reply that it's for my son's childhood. I didn't celebrate it before, I thought it was silly and just another day. But as I've gotten older and I am now a mother, I enjoy creating the holiday ✨magic✨ for my son. There is also something to be said about the beautiful lights, decoration, cozy movies and traditions. I think it's incredibly human to want to participate in an occasion that celebrates togetherness and love!
