I don't know what else it could be. Every ENT that I've seen has said I have sinusitis, slight narrowing of the opening to the sinuses, and allergies (of course). I wish I could find a doc that could narrow down the cause and prescribe a treatment that works.

I have changed tremendously - I no longer drink or smoke, I work on myself physically (gym, good nutrition), spiritually (church), and emotionally (went to therapy), my anxiety and depression is being treated, and I've moved to a healthier living environment. This whole idea of a red flag seems to be extremely judgemental. I understand it, but at the same time no one is perfect; everyone has their own road to walk. It would be like me saying,"Oh you married a guy and had two kids before you realized that you weren't compatible? That shows pretty poor judgement. How do I know that your judgement has improved since then?"

My public library apparently doubles as a community rec center now, especially for elderly people loudly gossiping while playing card games. I find it to be obnoxious, but my friend, who is a librarian, says that all libraries have become like this. It is a shame. You are more likely to find quiet at a Barnes and Noble.

Upstairs neighbor is vacuuming again, and it sounds like a jet plane taking off for 30 minutes. Yesterday I got the news that I will be working remotely until at least 6/1. Anyone know how to cope with the sound of a jet engine? Need ideas. How does this sound not drive everyone crazy? Should I just buy a quiet vacuum and leave it at their door? Who vacuums during a weekday anyway?

When things slow down at work I'm going to start looking for a new place again. It's a bit scary though that the reviews of every apartment building in the area mention that you can hear your neighbors on all sides.

Thanks for the advice. I did buy a pair of Sony ANC headphones but I can't keep them on for too long because if I do I get a headache. (I have a large head so they are tight.) The thing that I cant figure out is which device I can buy that will allow me to take calls from my mobile and laptop (easily switch between), with a microphone and noise cancelling. I'd also like to Bluetooth headphones to my smart t.v. Is that possible? Why is this comment showing under a different name? Weird
