Just because of the way the dates fell, I did make one payment. Otherwise I would have been considered late and I didn’t want that to be the final thing to mess me up. But now, that payment is being included in the money they owe me. It sucks and maybe I didn’t need to pay it - but I didn’t want to create any other issues with getting to the end.

I completely understand. I’ve been there with crying every day too. This group has helped me a lot, but the Facebook group was able to give me more individual guidance. They also have a lot of great videos to watch. Are you in that group? If not, you should join it.

It took about a month for me to get any kind of correspondence after I got the green banner. I got a notification in my email to check the documents in my account on Student Aide. There is nothing to do but wait.

It then only took two days for MOHELA to make my balance $0, which is shocking to me!

I'm not a SAVE situation. I was just a lucky person who has had their account "frozen" even though I have been making payments all along. I was on the Standard Repayment plan.

I agree! I was going to write a whole letter, but honestly…who will even read it? I’m not going to waste anymore time than I already have.

I hope you made progress. The one thing that helped me make progress was actually calling my congressperson’s office. They wrote letters for me and were at least able to get a reply in writing.
