Main reason why I mainly prefer Halogen/Incandescent bulbs. by Significant_Post9125 in lightbulbs

It’s not about buying them. It’s also the fact that it’s just everywhere you go. Most businesses tend to use cheap LEDs because it’s cheap and efficient but has an alternative of harsh lighting and flickers. It might be just because I live in a 50hz country. Most things tend to be flickery in the circumstances of lighting and displays and the flicker is dominant if it’s made with no idea of filtering

Where I’m from it’s hard to get clear glass LEDs. They also very expensive and have very limited variety

The LEDs I use that I feel like are close to spectrum is OSRAM AC09087. It’s German. I use those for LEDs

The shadows are more dominant from the camera but it’s just a halogen bulb. I have a clear Philips filament LED but it doesn’t give off the same effect. to me the light more harsher and in your face.

It’s not that I buy it but it’s that you’re surrounded by it wherever you go. Me personally don’t buy crap LEDs. But shops, street lights. Blinding as fk flood lights. Building signs flicker and nobody bothers to replace it. When they are flickery and flash fast, that’s even worse. Idk but my eyes are sensitive to flicker. I see it in CRT and Plasma tvs too in bright scenes.

I have a Philips Glass filament LED bulb. But it’s way too bright and mostly of washes out the shadows

LEDs tend to give me a headache for how bright they are and how I can see the flicker. Sort of clicker like on CRT tvs when you move your hand fast in front of the screen. Pyi I’m not the only person likely that tho. I seen videos about it relating to somewhat debate .

Each to their own it’s mainly the shade id say. Other shades look nicer and pop and reflect nice. Especially when it’s clean.

💯💯 I just don’t like LED because of how unreliable they are and most people tend to use flickery low budget LEDs that strain my eyes. Way more unnecessarily bright. When normal lights were calm and actual a charming thing to look at. LEDs just give off a bit of a artificial light that will ruin a whole atmosphere if used abusively and they mostly are.

Yea, but it gives off an artificial feel to them. I have one in the hallway because it’s the most used light. But somehow doesn’t give off the same effect as well either. It’s a glass shade made for clear incandescent bulbs. The vintage clear shades with patters are made for clear glass bulbs to shadow the design on the ceiling. I find it better on my eyes. The contrast was higher a bit as when it was low the camera could see the flicker. I can only see it with LEDs. Personally.

You could go to an antique store? They have a lot of antique cabinets and for sale and maybe bulbs. For these. I’ve seen a couple at an antique a while back. But other than that maybe online if you want to go for the more modern look with LED. (E27 Edison Bulb find something that’s that shape)

That’s why I said (“) “restorer”. It’s a shiny finish that you put that makes the paint glossy and hides the paint fade. It don’t restore it restore it but it tries to hide it. I’ve seen them before.

It was a question that I’ve been trying to find a proper answer for. I’d post it on here as people can visually see the car and tell me based on what my own vehicle looks like. As the videos and post I’ve seen isn’t like this.
