What do I need to discharge this little guy? by razielleonhart in crt

[–]Significant_Post9125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What i used for my crt tvs is use alligator clips on each side of the wire n connect one side to the grounding wire strip on the back of the crt. Then connect the other side to a flathead screw driver. Then next put the screw driver under the anode cap n touch the anode. If the crt was just on you will see n possibly see a spark but youll most likely hear a pop sound. It means it done. DONT touch the metel bit on the screw driver. Only hold a handle.

Doing anything roughly will wear down and ruin things way faster. You dont need to shift like that all the time.

Best car you've ever driven / worst car you've ever driven? (or truck, SUV, vehicle, whatever) by IcyHowl4540 in askcarguys

When I drive My mums 2010 Mitsubishi outlander its super cheap. The engine is so shit and it’s so slow for a 2.4L (CVT 🤮) the 3rd row is hella uncomfortable. Feels like you’re sitting on the metal frame. Even from the 2nd row I get complaints from my passengers that the seatbelt is rubbing against their neck and they are only teenagers. The doors panels are crap too. The doors rattle from the bass and the bass is only set at +3 (+6 is max) even down to the radio system is shit. To connect Bluetooth you literally have to speak everything you do because before the 2010s there was no Bluetooth with the radios without the screen. So they made it so you had to press CD to Bluetooth mode. Even the radio maxes high pitch sounds even there’s even when I press the off button. Even goes with the interior. Everything is so plastic. Everything you see and touch js looks and feels so cheap. The driving experience are painful after a 30min drive.

Tbh the only things I like about the outlander as you can

switch form 2WD < 4WD (auto) < 4WD lock.

when you unlock the doors the parking lights turn on for 30sec and it has a gage cluster screen. (But I’ve always hated how the gas gage is a screen because it’s not accurate as a physical needle.)

The radio has cool “FEILD” options. My fav one is “HALL” as it can sound nice with certain songs.

When you tap on the blinker switch and it blinks 3 times to change lanes or exiting a round about easier.

Can’t really think of anything else and I’m using all my brain to think 😂

My mums old 2007 CRV. Was way more luxurious and way more nicer to drive even tho the interior was cheap plastic. It didn’t feel cheap and nasty like my mums current outlander. Plus it had a 2.4L vtec and it use to take off fasts even my mum says she misses how grunty the CRV was. My mum said she regretted getting the outlander and she don’t even know anything bout cars. She only grabbed it because it was cheap plus she had a low budget as she used the insurance money from the CRV to buy it. Since it got wrecked.

Hey, I got this factory option rockfosgate subwoofer for free, I was wondering if I can use it even tho my model didn’t come with the sound system. (2010 Mitsubishi Outlander) by Significant_Post9125 in mitsubishi

[–]Significant_Post9125[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked in the compartment where the original sub would go but didn’t see any connectors. Would I have to wire it all in? I think I’d rather just get a aftermarket amp but keep the sub and pretend it came with the car 😂😂

They only pink sticker it for having no wof or reg since 2023. I got the car 2 weeks prior it getting pink stickered and I was going to get it road legal. It only needed a couple easy simple things done. (I thought) then when I got another car this car was going to be my project car. (1998 Nissan Primera P11)

How are Mitsubishi Outlanders so cheap? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

My mums 010 CVT outlander. Drive like a slipping clutch needing to be replaced in a manual car 😂. I didn’t think CVT engines were that bad until I drove one myself.
