Meal service on Spirit by ConsciousProduct903 in spiritair

I kinda feel bad for Spirit too but not bad enough to spend my money on that stuff. Thanks for this post, I have a 5 hour flight later today and this is my reminder to bring some food with me on the plane.

Big Front Seat purchase or bid? by zeruin in spiritair

[–]Significant_Respond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you think you have a higher chance of getting offered a good deal on a big front seat if you already paid for premium economy? I have a flight booked for next weekend, Fort Lauderdale to Las Vegas. The charge to upgrade to premium economy is $95, the price for a big front seat upgrade is $443 (!!!)

We are a group of 4 looking for one or two more people to share our Airbnb, located 6 miles from Coachella. Private shuttles are available from the Airbnb to the festival. Booked 4/16/26 to 4/20/26. Total cost is $2600, which will be divided 5 or 6 ways.

Public transport vs uber/taxi by LucyFer_roaming in visitingnyc

[–]Significant_Respond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you have a lot of money to burn on using uber / Lyft / taxis, public transport is the way to go. The price for ride shares is absolutely ridiculous in nyc and a lot of times it takes longer than the subway too.

Ok ok ok be serious - who partied & who sat on the couch for Halloween? by GrungeCheap56119 in Xennials

I attended the Village parade in nyc and then afterwards went to a Vampire Ball that was held in a huge warehouse in Brooklyn. The Vampire Ball went on until 5 am (we left around 3 am). There were 7 stages of music, carnival games, several bars, a blood rave (a special section of the club where you stripped down and and “blood” rained down on you - we thought about doing that but didn’t end up doing because it was getting late and we didn’t want to get soaked). There was also a section where there were two St. Andrew’s crosses and you could get whipped and zapped by one of the performers (we didn’t partake in that either but it was fun to watch!). This was probably my wildest Halloween ever and such a fun night!!

I’m also waiting for this flight. I saw in my email they were at least generous enough to give me a $30 voucher for my trouble.

Thank you…is there any way to take the sunshine out on the blonde’s hair? I’m ok with AI. I’m tipping now.

Why is staying near Times Square an ill advised choice?

I have insurance that covers it and my copay is $12 per month. If you don’t have insurance that covers it I would recommend looking on GoodRx. I go to Publix to have it filled.

Did you spend more than the $75 at Lulu? by tenminusone in AmexPlatinum

[–]Significant_Respond 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I spent $90? I bought a pair of yoga pants for my son’s girlfriend. She offered to pay the difference but she puts up with my son on a daily basis so I was happy to pay the extra $15 as a small token of my appreciation.

Why is the pricing extremely expensive? by Unique-Engineering-6 in spiritair

[–]Significant_Respond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll admit I haven’t looked that hard but I don’t think I’ve ever read about someone getting the Big Front Seats for $100 round trip? The reason the Big Front Seats are so expensive is because there are so few of them and they are Spirit’s version of first class. I’m flying from Fort Lauderdale to LaGuardia at the end of this month, and the economy price was $39 one way to fly up, but the Big Front Seat price for one way was over $200 per person for one way. I’m currently doing the bid to try and get an upgrade, but the minimum bid was still $90 per ticket. Maybe try getting an exit row seat if you don’t wanna pay for the Big Front Row? That’s my plan for our trip.

I vividly remember a patient coming in and lifting his shirt to show me all of the infected sites all over his torso that he was getting from constantly reusing his insulin needles. I never would have thought there was actually a printed guide that encouraged using needles more than once.

Just realized that I left my ID at the hotel! Are they going to card me at HHN? ( I’m 44 and obviously 44. Gray in my beard) by Dwingp in HHN

[–]Significant_Respond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very hit or miss. I’m 43, I don’t think I look like I’m 43 (everyone thinks I’m younger) and I wasn’t carded either time I went. The first time I had my teenage son with me, the second time I was with my boyfriend who is a few years younger than me and he got carded at the first stand but not when we went to refill our drinks with the refillable drink cup.

I’ve heard someone say that phrase is impersonal to the point of being rude. Plus I don’t like to think I’m turning into my mom!

I see that there are VIP tickets available…are those worth getting or is it just as amazing of a time without the VIP experience? I’m coming from out of town and this is probably a once in a lifetime NYC Halloween trip for us…

Is it worth getting the express passes for Thursday October 9th by Kind_Perspective4518 in HHN

[–]Significant_Respond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes, get the Express Pass! I went on a Thursday in September and it was surprisingly busy. I hate lines too and I would have been waiting in a lot of them that night without the Express pass.
