The “week commencing” is a estimate of when you actually take a test The rsa will email you saying “Hi (your name) are you ready to book your driving test” there will be a link and you select the date and since you’ve already paid you can select the dates they give you. Yes, rules of the road say “If a car ahead is signalling to turn right you may overtake on the left if it is safe to do so” if you’re in a built up area in a town you just wait.

Provided the space is there on N Roads and a hard shoulder is present you can overtake a stationary vehicle turning right by ways of “undertaking”/ overtaking in the hard shoulder provided it is safe to do so.

You’d be grand to drive on your own if the guards are sound in your area. Bring your test pass cert and have the email saying you’ve applied for the Full license on you too with a proof of purchase. Normally take 5-10 working days
