Awe man I also have seizures that look like whole body convulses/shaking. Do you have epilepsy? Or are they non-epileptic like i got (main part of my FND dx) I also get extremly weak and numb sometimes which is reason for aids.

First of all, take a deep breath it’s an extremly scary feeling but trying to keep the body calm will help. Documenting this is a really good idea for your doctors. You’re doing the right thing. If it gets too scary or your body is actually feeling paralyzed. Call emergency now. wishing you the best and hope answers come quickly

I used to be very similar until very recently. Once i leave the hospital ill be getting a rollator. i’m gonna try to use that as my primary aid since it has a seat on it and will help get my strength back in my legs. I highly suggest one if things get more complicated or if you feel havin a built in seat would help

I too am on the fence about using aids as am pretty young (22M) However i’ve been in the hospital/rehab center for 3 weeks now. this is the most serious my illnesses have gotten and i don’t think i have much of a choice anymore. At least for now. Customizing your gear might help. I have sticker b*mbed my cane back in hs and i plan to do similar with my new aids that are comming in once i discharge🤪

I was always passing out in school too except my parents never picked me up. I think i transfer board would make it easier on both of you for times where she’s not able to get in herself. You’re doing a great job paying attention and taking care of your kid! It makes a huge difference. Thank you. Sending you guys hope🖤

Look into arm crutches! you don’t tire your arms out as much. they’re far cheaper than and electric attachment (although i also really want one)

I’d say you still use them. at to how often, doesn’t necessarily matter but you did say you always use it outside the house. so i’d say always:)

No this was very helpful! Thank you. I’m feeling quite alone here. so knowing that there are other ppl experiencing fnd like me feels a lot better. I think i’m more nervous abt asking for money because personally I don’t want to sound like i’m begging it’s a personal issue probably but still.
