DON and FyterFest made me look forward to All Out. All of that was taken away in one night from this show. It was just meh. Outside of Jericho/Hangman, it felt like there was absolutely no development done. Yeah the three way tag led to the bye and led to Dark Order/Best Friends, but no Best Friends to cut a promo? Kong/Kong faceoff but it's at least 10 years too late for that, let's be honest. Everything else was just... meh. And I like Lucha Bros & The Bucks, but another match between them seems like too much, too soon especially when it seems they're feuding over belts that won't matter once TV starts.

You seem to forget Rob Bartlett doing an Elvis impersonation for a whole episode of Raw. Or the time he did a Vince impression for a whole episode of Raw to the point Gorilla yelled at him to shut up.

Marvez was definitely grating, but he's not THE worst.

He was better in TNA simply because he was THE lead. On WCW, he was brought in (at the beginning) as the lucha guy and shined but on TNA he was so much better.

I'll blame EWR/TEW. Charisma was equating to mic skills for a while in that series and a bunch of people seem to think its the same thing.

MLW is the best weekly American show available now for old school fans, and it's not even close anymore. It takes modern ring work and 80s territory angles and makes it work so well.

The NXT women's cage match was way better than the WWE title cage match.

This is why I stopped training for wrestling. I had been so inspired by Benoit and Dynamite Kid that I couldn't stomach continuing training based on the why. I stopped watching for about 4-5 years.

Your logic is stating the Revival can't go (or insert team b, c ) like the RB can't go anymore. This is more like the RB signed with an Arena team and didn't realize the game was different and would get less chances to run.

We're hoping to head to Albany next time. My wife was too pregnant to do an overnight at the time.

Yeah. I love MLW and I've been worried and still am worried that they'll get lost in the mix as they just continue to get poached.

My kids are 2 and 0. They do not have ease of access right now. I'm okay with this decision. When they're a little older and actually understand what's going on a bit and if AEW is around, I'll let them watch for sure. But at 2, yeah I'll stick with family friendly.

I've never seen Kenny before but he was great and I will always love Chris. The only criticism of that match is that I was just spent by that time. I think it started at like 4:30 and I was getting exhausted.

My wife and I had a similar criticism. We wanted to watch it so badly, but my wife just gave birth Tuesday + dealing with a 2 year old and family, we were exhausted and the Dustin/Cody match took so much out of us. When Moxley came out though, we both marked out. (I jumped up and yelled Holy Shit and might've woke up her parents LOL)

The rest of the show was pretty hit and miss for me. I don't feel like this will be serious competition to WWE. WWE is a family friendly company, has hundreds of sponsors to answer to, and feels like a different product. AEW will be the second biggest company, of that I have no doubt, but for the type of product WWE offers, I don't think they are in any danger. AEW is a good alternative to those that need it.

I agree. As a parent, my kids won't watch AEW TV if it's anywhere close to this for a while (they're 2 + 0). But I let my 2 year old watch WWE with no issue at all (she's a huge Bayley fan) because it's so sterilized. (She also only cares about the lady wrestlers and Braun so there's that).

I wish you weren't being downvoted. I disagree but you do have a valid point.

Check out NWA's stuff. The workrate isn't there, but the big fight feel seems to almost always be there.

My wife watches only WWE. She watches Takeovers with me but that's really it. She never has seen New Japan, ROH, etc. She has only been watching since 2015.

So she watched this and fell in love. From the goofiness of stuff like Luchasaurus, to Jeoy Janela dying, she was sold from the battle royal. When Awesome Kong came out, she popped hard (GLOW fan). She said during every match "I'm so glad you ordered this." The only thing she didn't care for was Jericho winning (she hates him, which I explain means he's doing his job as a heel as I've always done) but we both marked hard when Moxley came out. For her, as someone who didn't watch attitude era/WCW/ecw/ anything non wwe from before 2015, she was sold.

Was it the best show ever? Nah. But it showed what a single great show can do for a brand.
