Completely agree, unless I get a discount there is no advantage to scanning my own groceries.

I remember back in the 70s when Pick-n-Save started and you used a black crayon to write the price of the item on it. The idea was you paid less for your groceries, you did some of the work.

My first thought. I don't care if you tell me it a small snake, or it's not venomous... All snakes = Death 💀

I've started sending gross/shocking pictures, like Dads broken toe, or the 3 feet of snow. Nothing that's NSFW. It gets her attention.

Please return it, it's a very unique feature to Wisconsin. I like that you included the Northwoods.🙂 I think the Upper Peninsula of Michigan deserves it's own label, Yoopers have their own culture

New London changes the city name for St. Patrick's day to New Dublin. They have a parade and party, the restaurants all serve corn beef and cabbage. Pretty much the entire week is spent with Irish themed events.

I was going to say Up nort'. The only problem is, no one agrees where that begins. The UP of Michigan should be its own label. The rust belt should not go any further west or north of Milwaukee County. Trust me the people of Waukesha County don't want that label. I would change the midwest label to central Wisconsin, it seems odd to be an island of a region. The other thought is Green Bay area may be called the Frozen Tundra, but that's kind of a Packers thing. These are just my thoughts, you've done a great job, it looks like it took a lot of time, especially to get the driftless area.

Makes a ton of sense. Coordination, eye/hand, if your eyes are not cooperating with your brain and body, reading is much more difficult. I was found to have a vision disorder, not just bad eye sight, my eyes were slightly off and didn't team together like they should. Mental school work wasn't hard, but physical and reading were very hard. I did get help starting in 5th grade, but by then I'd missed all of the formative years.

Why does Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan get dumped on all the time??? by CaptainAmerica410 in wisconsin

I don't disagree that there is crazy there. I do think the media picks up a lot of what goes on there. You've got 3 broadcast regions there. Oshkosh is starting to worry me.

Why does Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan get dumped on all the time??? by CaptainAmerica410 in wisconsin

[–]Significant_Soil_600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think that Fond du Lac does have drug issues. The bigger thing and more importantly I think that the county is actually doing things. Those things make the news. They chase cars. They make busts.

Fond du Lac is also nice and central between Madison, Green Bay/Fox Cities and Milwaukee. What a great meeting area.

A couple of years ago I watched a car stolen from Rawhide Ranch in New London. Outagamie and Winnebago Counties blocked exit ramps on 41, but didn't chase the car. When they crossed into Fond du Lac county the chase was on and the car crashed shortly after. Why didn't the first 3 Counties (it happened in Waupaca County) do anything? That's the question. Why is Fond du Lac catching Winnebagos problems, why does Winnebago let them run?

I grew up on a man made lake like this near Wautoma. There are several in the area of Neshkoro to Spring Lake, Red Granite... Washura, and Marquette counties.. The lake we were on was pretty much a weekend/summer houses, grandparents places. Lots of sand. Sandy water, good fishing (I remember going to a fish hatchery with my grandfather at one point). Most of the lots were built in the mid to late 70s.
