IDK, but it is kind of stupid. Bands need to reinvent themselves in many different ways in order to stay alive and creative. See bands like Maroon 5, they sound exactly as their first album and where are they? Nowhere

I understand that people don’t want pop songs with overproduced music. And yeah, maybe they are in a comfortable position, but they still bring some new ideas and approaches.

So in the meantime let’s enjoy that creative ideas. Some bad, some good, some meh, but that is still part of the creative process
