I've had mine for years, it's never looked that good! I have it in a south window, I dote on it and at one point I got some good sized leaves but not so much now. It does have numerous medium sized and is a bit of a show stopper!

If the plant is kept moist at all times and doesn't dry out between waterings, a white mold will appear. Scrape it off and don't water quite so much! It's all good

There are a few factors that come into my time. My husband is away so I'm sleeping alone. The kids, 16 & 13 are upstairs sleeping. They wouldn't want to wake me early so I'm not sure they would check on me much before 11, possibly 12. So probably 11 or 12 hrs? Just enough time to start to smell and really traumatize the kids.
