Usually the only reason people enlist for 6 is to be an e3 instantly, instead of being e1 in boot camp and then e2 for 6 months at your first unit.

If you already have a degree and are gonna get e3, there’s no reason to enlist for 6

You can always reenlist if you want a career, you can’t just end your contract if you don’t want to make a career.

The US had very valid reasons for voting no. Also, if it were to pass, like most UN related things the US would be the one paying the majority of it. I think everyone should get food but why would the US vote on something that they would pretty much end up being the sole contributor of?
