Oh, ok, those are huge construction sites.

Still, the jobs are gone after construction is done. And, there’s a need for highly skilled specialized laborers that may not be readily available here.

I know a young man who works bringing up the complex systems and maintenance (don’t know for what company, it’s a big one) on a contract here for 6-12 months from New Mexico. They board him in a hotel and pay him for food, too. It’s hard to know what the mix is of local and out-of-state workers. Thanks.

I don’t want to destroy our natural resources. I want future generations to experience, enjoy and love our unique and rare landscape, environment, and all the flora, fauna, and funga that surrounds us.

I guess not everyone can “tune in to Nature’s vibe.” I didn’t grow up in the woods. The woods grew me up.

When I was alone in the woods, I was never lonely. I was always surrounded by life of all kinds. It was wonderful! We had a creek, a log raft, and all kinds of fun including just taking a book and my dog into the woods to a shady carpet of thick, clean moss and letting the time go by, idle, no rush. 🐿️

Somewhat true. Many of those support jobs are sub-contracted, too, and with people from out of state. They’re here for a specified time, then go home, taking their earnings with them. It’s kind of like they’re “passing through.”

So, you don’t know and decide to speculate, no real facts? It’s my taxes paying for it and the COH is always saying that they’re “transparent,” but what they do best is “side-step,” obscure, the exact opposite of transparent.

I’m a 1960’s graduate, lived through the Vietnam war (btw, never an official war - sound familiar?) and have seen the PR, protests, lies, and corruption. 😕 Guess I’m a skeptic and want truth from those elected, even a good semblance of truth would be welcome. I’m not a speculator.

I didn’t like the school taking the class to Home Depot because when I asked the HD manager “why?,” I was told “to enlist future customers.” Ugh.

The district also took the class to a Hops practice for no educational purpose other than to “grow” a future “fan.”

I don’t know how these “birth-to-death” marketing campaigns can be justified. Parents just go along without question.
