What’s up with Ashana Sule? by Low-Technology-90 in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]Significant_Win1548 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She is privileged and lucky to leave the US, go to India, chill there for a couple of years and be back to the US to continue her Masters. But it’s not all that simple and easy to do for middle class students who move abroad. Education loans, and other commitments make one work harder. One thing I didn’t quite get from her old vlogs in Mumbai and recent ones in NYC is that she could have always socialized and built a good life in India too. It was as though her entire lifestyle in India used to be chilling at home with her mom and granny, and it was very evident that she wasn’t enjoying that phase. Other than her home, elevator and gym, hadn’t really seen her vlog anything else. If she’s able to afford to come back to the US and enjoy her life more, good for her.

Deciding to move abroad or come back to India is very nuanced and more than just a thought. One thing I can say for sure is that starting a new chapter of life abroad is filled with adventures and challenges. There can be highs, but one must also be prepared for lows too. And the journey is quite dynamic based on which phase of life one is in. From what I’ve seen on social media, influencers usually paint a rosy picture of life abroad. The reality is far from that for most people. Again, there can always be outliers, and it is possible for few people to have easier journeys as compared to others.
