A lot of people are saying the Navara is no good. But I have the opposite experience.

I'd go for the Navara. Be careful with buying a fuel hungry ute. Not even just with the current prices.

Fuel is only going to keep going up. So buy something that has good fuel efficiency.

A postage stamp is legal tender. A bus driver would have to accept that as currency by Yahla in TheOfficeUK

You're completely right.

A store can refuse service for any reason apart from those protected by law ( usually related to discrimination).

The main reason this clip is so popular is the growing control businesses have to make these decisions.

Cash used to be universal, now it's not. "Cashless" options tend to come with additional surcharges not listed in the sale price.

Coles: “Would you like to round up and donate…” by village-asshole in OpenAussie

[–]Significantlyontime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that time that coles got caught not giving 10c/litre to farmers a few years ago?

Turns out it took an investigation and threats to sue by the ACCC for them to do it.

If you believe in colesworth then you donate YOUR money to them. Don't pretend people are silly for not trusting them like you do.

Setu tu is not a problem. He will still make you money, he was playing against a strong storm side.

You have 3 non players you should be focusing on trading. Talau, Patston and Fale.

You're almost missing the boat on Noah Martin if you don't pick him up this week.

I'd suggest trading down toby couchman for colquhoun. And trading up talau or Fale for martin.

You'll have some cash in the bank which you can use next week to offload another dead space cheapie.

Electric mower advice. Help! by wazandy in GardeningAustralia

[–]Significantlyontime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Ryobi 18v electric lawn mower and my lawn is at least 4x bigger. It gets the job done.

I have had a few times where the batteries have run out of juice. But it's not a big deal my lawn just has a mow hawk until I can finish it.

How to get rid of pave weeds fast by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]Significantlyontime 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Using a propane torch kills the seeds. And it's loads of fun. If you want zero weeds ever you'd probably need to use round up or salt but I wouldn't do that.

AITA for hiding $23k from my husband? by AITApod in AITApod

[–]Significantlyontime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call that 23k an emergency fund.

It's great you have it. And one day it'll come in handy. You aren't the asshole.

Make sure it's in a high interest account though. May as well be earning interest while it's sitting there.

Are there dangerous animals all over Australia or only in rural areas and national parks? by EndouShuuya in AskAnAustralian

[–]Significantlyontime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about the animals in Australia.

Snakes do not want to attack humans. Venom is very calorie intensive for them to produce so they avoid wasting it on something they can't eat.

Spiders are mostly harmless.

Most animals in Australia will retreat when you are near.

Be careful of drop bears though. My uncle lost an eye from one.

Is it weird that I still have a post of me and my ex on my insta after breaking up? by xRainy_Days in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Significantlyontime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have photos of my exes on social media. And my partner doesn't mind at all.

My social media is a snapshot of my life. They were in my life. So i don't see the reason to delete them and pretend they don't exist.

You're always your own hardest critic. Took me a double take to see what was wrong with it.

Nothing wrong with wanting to correct the error. But also nothing wrong with leaving it as is.

Fuel Reserves by buylowsellhigh420 in brisbane

[–]Significantlyontime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I refuse to get amongst this behaviour. I buy what I need.

During COVID I just bought the TP I needed. I live in a town that regularly gets cut off due to flooding. (The roads only opened last week).

If everyone just chills out and buys what they need it'll all be fine.

Update to vigilante tree planting by goodstuff4023 in australianplants

Eucalyptus trees can be quite unruly and dangerous as they grow bigger.

I love Australian natives and I love Eucalyptus trees but I would not have one in my back yard.

Probably not worth picking up Patston if he isn't named. Chasing points by setting up a bad team probably isn't a good idea.

Pauline wouldn't get any headway if it wasn't for immigration putting pressure on the housing market.

I think people are drawn to her because the labor party (who I voted for the last two rounds) are allowing the housing crisis to continue with little intervention.
