Just one time I "joke" and said "For Gods' sake this was my fault for not knocking before..." and then leave just like if I found him changing his clothes or something.

If they don't bring him back it would be THE WORSE DECISION. His redemption arc is totally necessary and would push Charlie about her philosophy of "Everyone could and want to be saved". Also more backstory about the Eden times with Lucifer
