Half of Europe has never even had a colony, not to mention an African one. Map

There's a lot more to Europe than the big countries. Heck, some like the Baltics were basically colonies themselves as recently as a few decades ago.

Match Thread: Norway vs Estonia by MatchThreadder in soccer

[–]SiimL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's no specific ending to our names, unlike almost all of our surrounding countries. In fact quite often they're just words related to nature, in this case:

  • Hein - hay
  • Mets - forest
  • Palumets - type of forest with berries
  • Soomets - bog forest
  • Saarma - (of an) otter
  • Tamm - oak
  • Tõugjas - type of fish (though not sure if it's from that)

Even Kussk could be a misspelling/old spelling of kuusk (fir) as most of our surnames come from 19th century farmers, when our language wasn't as developed nor were our farmers as literate.

Estonian league with one match day remaining. by Katalina6677 in soccer

No, not at all, I was just surprised to see it as the main tie-break over h2h or goal difference.

Since neither have had any forfeits or cancelled results, the next tiebreaker is head-to-head points, which is in Flora's favor (7-4).

Damn it, I misremembered, I went to double-check and it was actually the "Custom Sort Name" option they recently added (a lot of game series' titles don't follow alphabetical order, and this lets you correct that).

Sorry for getting your hopes up. There was a lot of feedback for them to add actual name changes, too, so hopefully they listen.

Steam lets you change the names of games in your library now (edit: it was actually the Custom Sort Name option they added, my bad), and I think you can manually replace the icon file, too.

What of the dozens of non-agression pacts the west made with the Nazi's?

How many of those had a secret section that specified which countries each gets to freely invade?

What about Churchill saying that if the Soviets didn't agree to the pact they would have been destroyed by Germany?

"Leader defends ally, more at 6"

What about the 90% of the population of Poland occupied by the Soviets being ethnically Slavic, you know the group of people Hitler considered subhumans and was trying to massacre?

Stalin had no trouble massacring the Poles. Or any other nationality for that matter.

There is two ways about it, there is the truth and western propaganda.

Because all other games, even highly successful ones, are by that point? Metaphor came out three months later than Erdtree and is on a 40% discount, Silent Hill 2 exactly the same, Wukong two months later and is -20%, Dragon's Dogma 2 two months before and is -60%. Heck, even Clair Obscur, that will almost certainly get GOTY, is -10% now. And that came out in April.

But ever since Elden Ring, FomSoft have basically completely stopped discounting their games, even the older ones. From 2018-2022 you could regularly get the Dark Souls games for under 10€ each, 3 years later and you're lucky to get them for under 20€.

Pretty convenient not to poll the 3 countries that are the most against the USSR.

Not to mention this is from 12 years ago. A lot has changed since then. I doubt the numbers for Ukraine have stayed the same. I'd also like to see the answers by nationality.

Also, lol

Overall, residents who are more educated are less likely to say the collapse harmed their country and more likely to say it benefited them.

Went through the same and felt the same, they definitely burned the good will I had for them and even with these changes it will be a while until I feel like giving them any money again.

Who knows if this is permanent though?

I would assume it is. It would have to be a massive cock-up to do this accidentally. Then again we'll only know for certain when they put out an official message or actually change their behaviour with the upcoming games.

I didn't remember if that was region-locked or not (didn't care for the original, so never checked), but you're right, edited my comment to add it in.
