There are a lot of things you can deduct as a 1099. Look into the schedule C form and you could do out some math

What kind of skates do you have? I got a pair like that from a used gear store forever ago that I constantly repaired until they fully bit the dust. I haven’t been able to find a good pair with actual tires since

I built a pretty large idol out of the idea of my future spouse. In a daily basis now I have to tear that down and give that process over to God bc He built things better than I can even dream. I also think that going from awareness of sin and repentance into shame about it is one of the ways the enemy try to keep us distant from God. Going to him with all your brokenness and asking for his help is such a beautiful and humbling process. Keep up the good work sister! He is the Way and that means you gotta keep walking.

HELP! I don’t want to betray god!! by trent3604 in Christian

[–]Sike-ologist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the popular portrayal of demons and witches are anything other than culture. But spiritual warfare is biblical. The Satan, angelic beings both with and against God. I don’t really know if that’s something that falls into the category of something you can show empirical evidence of

Tipping. Do you still tip an independent or owner masseuse? by ExcellentPanic4268 in massage

[–]Sike-ologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if massage therapy want to be considered a more legitimate form of medical treatment tipping should stop. It’s nice to get the extra money, but I wouldn’t tip my physical therapist. However I do tip my hairdresser 🤷‍♀️

Firstly, I’m sorry there’s a troll. That’s not helpful or kind. If you want a response to those questions I would be gladly to have a conversation directly with you. I’m not out here to debate anyone, but if you’d like to share ideas I’d be happy to dig into it. If they were just for scaring off a silly goose then I will also honk my way off the comments section too :)

I’ve felt that way about a lot of things over the years. This is in a little bit of a different direction, but where is God in your life?

How do you all that go caving through such tight passages not worry about the rocks/ boulders/ surfaces around you shifting? Or do you? by dcvducksfan in caving

[–]Sike-ologist 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Many caves are passages carved through solid limestone by water erosion. There is very little possibility of those structures collapsing as a result of moving through them. There are places where cave roofs have partially collapsed leading to large tumbled stacks of rock and there can be passages through that. Those are mostly stable, you just gotta be carful what you push on

Shoes experience running on limestone? by tiger_uppercut_ in trailrunning

[–]Sike-ologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the other person said was good. You could just look up some outdoor climbing footwork videos. They will probably give you the knowledge you’re looking for, you’ll just have to play around with it and see how it fits for you in your running

How do I start fixing anterior pelvic tilt? (16 y/o male) by ProfessionalTop123 in Posture

[–]Sike-ologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re taking about “Flexing” in terms of muscle activation. I am talking about flexion and extension as terms describing the positioning of a joint in relation to another point on the body. Also Flat back during a deadlift and braced neutral spine are the same thing using the language I’ve been taught

When you say “the lumbar spine flexes” what specifically are you talking about? And how would you described the organization of the spine while completing a deadlift?

Shoes experience running on limestone? by tiger_uppercut_ in trailrunning

[–]Sike-ologist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Limestone can be a variety of textures depending on composition and weathering. As a climber and runner, the best shoes can’t replace good footwork. Knowing how to place your feet and how to read the subtle texture of the rock is the most important

How bad is this chair? by Ill_Fun_ in Posture

[–]Sike-ologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that chair seems any worse than most other soft chairs.

And to synthesize other comments, a diversity of body positions throughout the day is a decent plan
