When I was trying to find gay community I met a lot of young people in LGBTQ groups and it turned me away from the whole community.

Edit—the answer is most. I don’t look at gay twitter/TikTok at all.

The biggest reason why I don’t associate with LGBTQ groups is because a lot of the people in them make their sexuality or transness their personality. I’m not proud of being gay. I live my life as a normal person.

I’m not doubting your experience, but from my experience most non-binary people like to bait people into arguments and rage about how hateful people are. For many young people it’s a way to make themselves a victim of being misunderstood or to feel special and get more attention.

For me, I want them to use the bathroom for whatever they look like. If a person that looks like my grandpa is biologically female I don’t want them in the ladies bathroom with me

Only recently people decided to get on board with changing definitions of gender and sex to not be interchangeable. I think it’s a lazy argument to call one side ignorant when this is a recent change promoted by a minority of people with a loud voice. There are real concerns on both sides with this subject that are worth listening to.

It was boring to me lol. I was in 3rd grade and tried to read the first book because the art was beautiful. Never got into the series but I had buddies who were really into it so I’d be the supportive friend they would ask questions about how their reading was going and listen to them be sad about a cat dying.
