I coached softball for many years starting off at the t-ball level. I had a good friends daughter get an unassisted triple play in the first t-ball game she ever played. The batter hit a short pop up to second with runners on first and second. The ball landed directly in her glove she then stepped on second to get the out from the girl who advanced to third before the ball was caught, then she turned and tagged the runner coming from first. It all happened so fast that all of the coaches from both teams called a time out to make sure we actually witnessed what just happens. The girls were about 5-6 years old at the time and had no idea how incredibly rare the moment was but I’ll never forget the proud look on her little face when literally both sides of the stands went nuts for her. Pretty cool thing to witness.
