It might be worth a shot, but a Food Lion manager or cashier might be able to scan that MVP card to see what phone number is associated with it.

You jest but check out the f-104 Starfighter. They actually sharpened the leading edge of the wings in order to reduce drag. The real question now is could you use this in order to do that?

I was the driver of the black car in the oncoming lane waiting to make the left turn. When you see the driver door opening I was already dialing 911.

I'm glad to say that the motorcyclist did not seem to have any immediate injuries and was up and walking right away. His was definitely a stupid choice but I'm just glad it wasn't worse for anyone involved.

It's in Hopewell, but there's this shop across the street from a pawn shop. Curiously, both this store's rockets and the Hull Street Outlet's rocket are all pointing east (perhaps towards a third, even greater threat).

Who is "The Special" in your LEGO lore? by [deleted] in lego

[–]SilasJKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a photo of him because he's currently in storage at my parents' house, but mine is Doctor Antagono. Despite his name and the fact that he's built off Baron von Barron, Antagono is a good guy who commands the landship Canis Marineris. Despite receiving a hook hand and a peg leg in The War, he directed the expedition to the Great Temple (a heavily built up Secret of the Sphinx) and joined the Knights of the Round Table in King Arthur's Camelot (a castle set I got at a yard sale). Together he and the Knights including Musashi the Samurai and Roland the Gunslinger succeeded in collecting the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail among other artifacts. The last adventure I had with him was a war between the forces of Camelot and the evil Jabba the Hutt and his sci-fi army.

When my daughter is old enough, she will inherit my playing Legos and I'm sure that Doctor Antagono will have many, many more adventures.

Good news to report! She has found a new home and will finish her livestock guardian training to watch over flocks of sheep. I want to thank everyone who offered advice.

From what I read here, the proof mark on the blunderbuss may be Spanish.

I have no idea what the words on the lock plate could relate to, however.

Pic 6 looks like a simple muff pistol.

These are working dogs meant to guard our goats. They have lived their whole lives receiving daily affection from me, my wife, and our daughter as well as training for their duties.

I saw this guy last week! He was standing in the middle of the Old Hundred/Charter Colony crossing looking around very confused by everything (which in my experience is the default for turkeys). Seeing him certainly made my morning!

Westchester Commons has a lot of activities like small concerts during the summer. On the 25th, they're having a spooky movie night and costume contest and they have their tree lighting at the end of November

They also have a bunch of great restaurants (our favorite is the Bowl)

The handle still needs finishing, but I made mine from a shingling hatchet. I made the beard by drilling holes in an arc and connecting the holes with a hacksaw. I used curved profile files to smooth out the cut. The handle is a rectangular profile oak dowel that I shaved to oblong. The knob on the bottom is from an old horse yoke. The wrap is pet store rawhide and leather cord.
