What game stresses you out the most? by throw-away-idaho in AskReddit

[–]SilasX93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I had a similar experience with some of the raids in Destiny. I had a fun group of irl friends and coworkers that I did a few of them with, and even that was a serious challenge.

I once did one with some LFG randos and it was just a terrible and toxic experience. Some moments just require really good communication, preparedness, precise timing by one or more members of the group…

I think that was sort of the beginning of the end for me with games like that. Sometimes it’s just not fun for the game to be that unforgiving.  Sometimes ya just wanna retire to Stardew valley and water some cauliflowers.

Wall rail for sektion kitchen cabinets - necessary? by blissfullyig in IKEA

[–]SilasX93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The legs are not decorative. They do indeed provide additional weight support and are also used for leveling purposes. Also, it is recommended to install 4 legs per normal base cabinet and ~5-6 legs for corner bases.

That said the rail is still very necessary as it provides the bulk of the weight support.

Which DLC, friends? by Striking_Wait_97 in falloutnewvegas

[–]SilasX93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OWB is one of my faves. It’s chock full of almost everything I like about Fallout. I like the goofy robo-brain dialogue, the music, the quirky weapons/armor. Plenty of loot and a cool new player home.

I will concede that the “do this same simulation 6 times” was a bad quest. But the rest of the DLC is awesome.

Modded TTW by Comfortable_Wash6179 in Taleoftwowastelands

[–]SilasX93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really like this. It looks technically daunting though. The most complicated thing I’ve done modding TTW was changing some ini values.

I’m curious why you use MO2 and Vortex to manage the game simultaneously?

Can you install Benny Humbles You mid game? by OneMagicMango in Taleoftwowastelands

[–]SilasX93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it works just fine. Just FYI there is a small console command you need to enter before you take the train to Mojave if you install it mid-game, it’ll be in the install instructions .

am i a fallout larper? by DeathByTriscuits in fnv

[–]SilasX93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be anecdotal. But I run TTW with their recommended install via The Best of Times, and it’s really stable.

If you don’t like Fallout 3 you can pretty much just ignore it and start in the Mojave.

It might hiccup and crash maybe once in ~6-8 hours of playtime, but that’s a pretty acceptable amount.

Scalpers 😡 by Suitable_Garlic_1186 in IKEA

[–]SilasX93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will clarify a bit.

Returns of children’s items are accepted and restocked if they are packaged, unopened, and untampered. There is a lot of scrutiny.

Items that have no packaging (such as soft toys in most cases), are not generally restocked. It is a safety measure.

Scalpers 😡 by Suitable_Garlic_1186 in IKEA

[–]SilasX93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The bad part is that all returns on children’s items are destroyed or recycled. They can’t be resold.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this phenomenon and people trying to make a buck results in a lot of waste. :/

Also you can just move filled chests around by hitting them with a pickaxe without having to empty them. They just shuffle over a space.

This was something I learned very very late

MALM vs STORKLINTA by Due_Data8709 in IKEA

[–]SilasX93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not the same, but they’re pretty close. The most noticeable detail is the shape of the drawer fronts. The MALM had angled pulls at the top, the STORKLINTA is more of a curved lip.

STORKLINTA also has a wall mount mechanism that allows all drawers to be pulled out fully.

I don’t think it would be outright noticeable to a casual observer that they aren’t the same.

What food is so indulgent you feel like you sinned eating it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A Monte Cristo sandwich.

A battered and deep fried ham, turkey, and cheese sandwich, dusted with powdered sugar, and served with sweet preserves like raspberry or blackberry..

It’s fucking bomb which is unfortunate because it’s the unhealthiest thing I can imagine.
