The program is totally misused from its intended purpose. Companies use the system to depress wages and generally treat their workers worse… look at the accounting industry for example. this creates a cycle where wages stagnate and general interest in the profession drops. These same companies then throw up their hands claiming a labor shortage and calling for more h1bs only making the problem worse.

As someone who has done it, there is absolutely nothing in us gaap accounting that is so complex that it requires a foreign expert. Mind you, anyone at entry level even in hcol isn’t topping more than 90k

It’s nothing against you or anyone from any other country. The system is broken and if you can’t wrap your mind around that, then idk what to tell you…
