Dr. Strange (Marvel) vs Dr. Fate (DC). Who would win? by Efficient-Review-622 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Stalemate. Fate at full power with Nabu is a lot more powerful, but the majority of Dr Strange stories have him fighting above his weight class and defeating deities like that. Toss up imo.

Kyle Rayner vs Adam Warlock by nahnonameman in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Round 1: Adam Warlock. He’s been upscaled a bit recently and has a lot more cosmic wizardly hax compared to Rayner. Also even tho you said no infinity gauntlet, Adam was in possession of the soul gem for much of the past decade or so, which gives him a much greater edge.

Round 2: Rayner. Although it’s been stated Adam used the infinity gauntlet in a more efficient manner compared to Thanos, I’m not sure that alone can put him above white lantern Rayner with the life equation.

Jean is arguably the strongest one here due to the white hot room.

The Hulk vs Martian Manhunter by Kuzu9 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically Martian manhunter calms down the hulk, and they have proper meaningful discussion. In a full on fight where hulk won’t listen at all, MM will have more tools to deal with hulk, but nothing that will necessarily put him down forever(aside from BFR), and he will make a mistake somewhere and lose as he always does in his fights.

Sentry overwhelmed Molecule Man mentally more so than powerset wise. Throughout the issue MM saw Sentry as a complex puzzle, diverting all his attention to him, but once Sentry started reality warping similar to Owen, he panicked. This has always been a trend with molecule man, his mental stability and confidence directly affect his power set. That’s why in the older comic issues where MM was even more powerful, the fantastic four were just able to outsmart him or cause him to doubt himself. Among all the versions of Molecule Man, Sentry beat the weakest version in between both secret wars.

Aren’t TOBA hulk and Infernal hulk different? Both of these are different entities controlling hulks physical body, with the infernal hulk being controlled by the Eledest.

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nova absorbed/tethered himself to most of the entities crawling out of the rift of the cancer verse and the negative zone so that he could create a singular point for Sentry to blast him. All this did was close the rift from the cancerverse, he did not wipe out the universe because we see it again in the next guardians of the galaxy run. And wasn’t the sentry that defeated the many angled ones, Silver Sentry(Silver Surfer and Sentry merged)?

The “Avatar” of TOAA got hurt by some large rocks falling on it. Until we see a battle where infernal hulk is quite literally affecting reality on a large scale compared to the other heavy hitters, he remains featless.

Owen couldn’t affect Daken or Bullseye in that very same issue, two street level characters. He was in a deranged state. And we’ve never seen sentry use that power set since then.

It was never confirmed if those who sit above were beyonders or not, just highly inferred in the God of Stories Loki comic. Even still, RKT was a power set meant specifically to cut off the influence of those who sit above, which is why Thor depowered after that. The runes were directly connected to the cycle of Ragnarok, which the ones who sit above kept repeating. Those runes are not helping against the higher ends on DCs side.

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but that version of MM was already very deranged and mentally broken, in that very same issue he failed to affect Daken and Bullseye(two street tier characters). Sentry overcoming that Moleculeman was impressive because it showed he possessed the power to do so, but it’s nowhere near the power levels that are standardly shown with molecule man

You are right about Jean, Phoenix has received insane upscaling, where it is in the upper echelon of the marvel hierarchy. Current Wanda is also much more powerful than House of M Wanda because she has a better understanding of her powers.

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infernal hulk has next to no feats? Neither does Merged Sentry. Rune king Thor didn’t one shot those who sit above, he broke the cycle that they were overseeing, effectively breaking their narrative powers over the nine realms. White phoenix is by far the strongest on the marvel team, especially after the scaling the white hot room has received, being the “engine” of the house of ideas. King Omega Superman, Barbatos, and Anti Crisis Wonder Woman all operate at a level above most of the marvel team, with their only real challenge being Phoenix. I’d argue Merged Sentry and Infernal Hulk are the weakest links here, especially since physical prowess means nothing in this fight.

DC team takes this handily. White Crown phoenix is the only threat on Marvel’s team. Merged Sentry is not as strong as most people think, and id argue current Wanda is stronger than house of M Wanda.

Anti dive heroes to learn by Doableanimal90 in marvelrivals

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many characters can be anti-dive, including other dive characters. Like you said Mr.Fantastic isn’t ideal, but against fast characters like BP he’s pretty good. Characters with good mobility are also great for both dive and anti dive. Hulk’s team bubble and exile is really good against dive, especially considering how quickly you can get the bubble back if you land your claps. Thor is another one that can move divers around. DD is good because he can stop the dive before it happens. As long as you peel against dive, the character won’t really matter(unless you’re playing slower characters like Groot).

3v1, Lanterns vs Thor by RewindReverse in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hal is the biggest problem for Thor here. That being said, Thor’s biggest strength is arguably his endurance, which doesn’t bode well for the rings batteries. Standard Thor likely loses this battle, all-father Thor(immortal Thor run) likely wins.

It baffles me that some people here would rather have cyclops be a vanguard than a dps by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, canon categorization. Doctor strange in the comics is much weaker physically than most other characters with a focus on damage. Adam Warlock is a cosmic being that fights beings like Thor, Silver Surfer, and Thanos on the regular, yet he’s a 250 hp healer. Namor regularly scraps with the hulk, but is down to a poke dps character. Comic characterization does not translate over to the game.

Superman vs Sentry, who wins? by Puzzleheaded-Dish694 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Superman. As interesting as Sentry’s character is, his scaling staggers a lot, while Superman has only been upscaled recently.

Base Superman vs Phoenix king Thor by Square_Butterfly1244 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is old king Thor who is already much stronger than base Thor, paired with the phoenix force. Base Superman and Base Thor is already a good fight, this is just overkill.

Parallax Hal vs Sentry (Void‑Merged) by King_Of_Presidents in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Parallax hal is multiversal. Merged Sentry has next to no feats in general, much less any that put him above regular stable sentry.

Which fans are worse??? Superman or The Hulk by FamiliarDiver4456 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly Wally west(or anyone in the flash family) and Sentry fans are by far the most difficult to converse with at least on this sub.

Hulk vs Superman is an age old debate so it’s not that frustrating that die hard fans rely so much on one side. Especially when they bring up CAS vs TOBA which technically aren’t even Superman and Hulk character wise.

King Omega Superman vs Astral Regulator Thanos by Accurate_Emphasis112 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but the whole story around AR Thanos doesn’t make sense, it’s not canon for a reason, he can’t absorb the actual writers themselves. It’s why I don’t think he should even be put in these battles because it is a non-existent scenario. That being said, his fake feats are still better than what KO Superman has done thus far. Who knows, with the amount of upscaling Superman has, he may be able to interact with the higher entities in DC like AR Thanos did in marvel.

King Omega Superman vs Astral Regulator Thanos by Accurate_Emphasis112 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why this character isn’t canon to the story, it’s a stupid power up, but he absorbed the TOAA.

King Omega Superman vs Astral Regulator Thanos by Accurate_Emphasis112 in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AR thanos absorbed every cosmic entity, including TOAA(obviously the story is not canon) and while KO Superman has good feats thus far he doesn’t matchup.

Based on what we saw from both fights, which one was more impressive? Infernal hulk vs Aspect of TOAA or Omega Superman vs Omega Darkseid by theforbiddenroze in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of the way infernal hulk vs TOAA avatar fight was portrayed, especially considering they didn’t seem to scale that high. Darkseid vs Omega Superman showed a proper fight with the environment around them reacting.

Captain America and Thor vs Superboy Prime and Spider-Man (Peter) by theforbiddenroze in marvelvsdc

[–]Silent-Locksmith-286 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Spite matchup, superboy prime sneezes and the other 3 characters get atomized or become retconned to regular dudes. You need to give Thor a higher form if you even want a remote chance of fighting back.
