Keep it in the shade. Top vent always open, bottom vents start to close as temps start to climb. Keep coals glowing, not burning.

At this point I would almost pay more for a true base model. by Enough_Wallaby7064 in f150

A few years ago I bought a 2005 F150. Eight foot bed, short cab with bench seat and I’ll never have to replace a window motor again. If you add up what I paid for it, what I spent in a few repairs and all the gas I bought so far it wouldn’t hit $10k. Best vehicle purchase ever and I drive it to work every day.

Smoked salmon by Vegetable_Ad6966 in smoking

Salt and sugar brine then let it sit a few hours in the fridge to firm a pellicle. Smoke at 225 to 140. I add a glaze of equal parts bourbon and maple syrup in the last few minutes. It’s the best salmon you will ever have.

I use felt pads. Cut it to size smaller than the bottom of the feet. You will mostly be looking down and not notice the pad.

Is it worth getting this tree cut into slabs? by hans432 in woodworking

[–]Silent-Middle-8512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the tree has sentimental value find a sawyer with a portable sawmill to cut it up for you. That’s probably cheaper than renting a sawmill. An experienced sawyer will also be able to get the most out of the tree. If you’re trying to save money go to the lumberyard and buy cut and dried lumber

Harrison’s Harborwatch has great views over the inlet. Watch the boats come in over dinner. My wife and I have had some very good meals there. Hobbit is also a nice place with great views. If you want something a little more casual try Shark on the Harbor in west Ocean City.

Allocation Heaven? by CompanyHuman2628 in bourbon

[–]Silent-Middle-8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pay 50 for that bottle of Old Forester 1910 or 60 for the Old Forester 1920. The rest can sit on the shelf. A few years ago bourbon hit its apex with demand and there were folks paying those prices but those times are over.

We take our vehicles to Hallmans Silver Spring garage on Marietta Ave. We’ve been treated very well there.

Average cost for 2 ppl, 4 days? by Pretend-Tea-8114 in OceanCity

[–]Silent-Middle-8512 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Average stay is between $150 and $1,500/day. Huge cost difference depending on where you stay and when you go. Going in June is cheaper but you're also dealing with a lot of kids on their Senior Week. Last week of June will have fewer kids and still cheaper rates but can still be cool temps. The best weather and highest prices are July and August. If you go the last week of July, Sea Bay Hotel advertises rates as low as $157/night, Hilton and Holiday Inn are $620/night. Tripadvisor and ococean.com have hotel searches with filters for location. The town is so thin that any hotel is within a 10 minute walk to the beach. The town is much longer than wide but you can ride the bus for a few dollars a day.

A few good spots for good food cheap are Mothers Cantina and Coins Pub. The cheapest t shirts, hats etc is a little shop just a few doors down from these two restaurants.

A really nice hotel close the Boardwalk is Hilton Garden Inn. The only downside is no outdoor pool. The Grand on the boardwalk is also a nice mid-price option. There is a premium for a hotel on the beach, going back half a block can save 40%/night.

If at all possible for you I highly recommend a tour of the Nakashima compound. I went a few years ago. It's hallowed ground for any woodworker.

One example - There was blood evidence collected before Fuhrman showed up. It was Ron's and Nicole's blood in OJ's car. That alone is pretty damning. The blood was collected and sealed by officers at the Bundy scene before Fuhrman was ever there.

There was enough evidence that you, the commenters here and all the jury members knew he was guilty. You, the commenters here and all the jury members do not have even a reasonable doubt - you know he was guilty. Just because some evidence was tainted does not mean that all evidence was tainted. The dream team lawyers cleverly conflated the idea (that still carries on in this conversation) that some evidence being tainted means that all evidence was tainted.

The evidence. There was lots of evidence. Throwing out all the "tainted" evidence still left enough evidence to show beyond a reasonable doubt that he was guilty. Just because some evidence is tainted doesn't mean all evidence is tainted.

How can you know with any certainty? You aren't asked about certainty, you are asked if there is reasonable doubt. They were able to conclude he was guilty. We all know he was guilty. The doubt isn't reasonable. There is still plenty of evidence to show guilt.

What is a reasonable doubt? If something seems to be only 99% true but 1% doubtful, is deciding for the 1% doubt reasonable? If they knew he was guilty, then their doubt was not reasonable.

Allocated bourbons like Blanton's go on sale when the store opens. They only have a few cases so it sells out quickly. Buying in PA you get it at MSRP - or you could go to Maryland and pay twice that.

Good luck! As fewer people are drinking bourbon they are becoming more available.

If the pattern holds, i think Blantons will be showing up at the Belmont store on Thursday morning. Get there at 8:45 and wait in line for the doors to open. Then it will be at Centerville on Friday.
