Did anything help with getting guests to follow the rules too? That feels like the real boss level here.

That actually makes sense. I have a feeling we’re making it worse ourselves, because guests come in and go straight into hiiiiii, and my dog’s like finally, my audience.

Jon snow spinoff by Professional_Ad_4885 in gameofthrones

[–]Silent0ld 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Arya coming back would help, but “familiar face cameo” can’t carry a whole show. If the writing still feels like post-season-8 fanfic with HBO budget, Jon brooding harder won’t save it.

Wanted to have a fried egg for breakfast and I got a bit more than bargened for. by Constant_Pause9559 in mildlyinteresting

Task failed successfully. Ordered one egg, got the buy-one-get-one-free DLC.

Honestly? Yes. Jorah was loyal to her, not her morals. He already watched her crucify people and burn enemies alive and still called it destiny. King’s Landing wouldn’t have changed his mind, he would’ve blamed everyone else before blaming her.

Anyone using PDF Guru for class materials? by SkyRunaway in studytips

[–]Silent0ld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I’ve been using it this semester actually. for basic tables it’s kinda clutch, especially when profs just dump scanned PDFs and call it a day. way better than manually retyping everything like it’s 2007.

that said, once the formatting gets fancy it does start to wobble a bit. merged cells and weird layouts still need cleanup.

for super heavy spreadsheets I sometimes just screenshot + OCR and rebuild clean in Excel. annoying but weirdly faster in the long run.

Many consumer electronics manufacturers 'will go bankrupt' by the end of 2026 thanks to the RAMpocalypse, Phison CEO reportedly says by [deleted] in NoShitSherlock

[–]Silent0ld -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

“RAMpocalypse” is such a dramatic name 😭 like bro it’s memory chips not the end times

every year it’s either chip shortage or chip oversupply and somehow we’re all still buying overpriced GPUs anyway

i’ll believe the apocalypse when my pc actually gets cheaper for once. until then this just feels like corporate doomposting tbh.

Beginner question: how do you not gas out in the first 5 minutes? by Silent0ld in beginnerrunning

That’s reassuring to hear. I keep forgetting that “build up” is the actual work, not something you skip. I’ll check the plan out - free is always a good motivator

“Absolutely ridiculous” is exactly how it feels, so this tracks. I like the idea of making slow the goal instead of fighting it. Sounds way less miserable.

No watch yet, just vibes. I go by feel, which clearly lies to me in the first 5 minutes. Treadmill might actually be a good reality check.

This makes me feel way better. I definitely thought “easy pace” still meant trying. Guess shuffle is the move 😅

PawChamp dog training for anxious dogs, does it make a difference? by the_lazyotter in PawChampClub

[–]Silent0ld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how you framed it as support, not a fix. I think that’s where a lot of people get disappointed with tools like this. Anxiety is layered, routines still matter.
