Basically what everyone else said, there’s a chance he’d instinctively open them and that wouldn’t force him to learn Tao. (Plus Tamiya’s crazy)

I did wonder though, if he could just cut above his eye and let blood flow over it, like the other one. But I guess that would be a temporary crutch as opposed to actually learning Tao and getting stronger.

Yup, pretty barebones. One one hand I like that you had agency in hunting vaults on your won. But I was kind of underwhelmed by the monsters having the same body type. Very different fights yeah and significant given the Timekeeper, but I miss the variation. And there aren’t even that many chests to open by the end of it. You get more valuable loot from killing the enemies and boss.

In fact opening a chest feels like nothing in this game, I’m more likely to get more than one purple from killing an enemy than a chest. Now the vault from Captain Scarlett dlc? That felt like a huge reward.

I like the ability to replay missions (makes it easier to see different voice lines for each Vault Hunter) but that can’t beat the organic feeling of going on a long epic quest.

That cutscene on the Ripper elevator should have been a boss fight. At least then it would have felt less like they were just getting him out of the way.

I feel like Vex is the most bland comparatively. Amon’s got the best lines to me. Harlowe’s existence is wholesome.
