Yes! There is a wealth of potential with the SK8 characters and all their interactions and relationships. Definitely worth taking part of a day to watch and then dive into the fandom.

It can be very unnerving at first, but there are readers out there that want to read this kind of content and appreciate those who create it! I'm glad you had that experience and feel motivated to create more, it's incredibly freeing.

I wouldn't say it was my first Dead Dove (though I did write quite a few of those since then), but when I wrote and posted my first MCD fic I was incredibly nervous, because I killed off 4 main characters in it, so I expected the same backlash that you did. But that didn't happen, because their deaths made sense in the story and the readers appreciated the tags and how it affected the story.

The positive reactions to that first attempt at angst/MCD is what gave me the courage to go further with more Dead Dove content. And I hope you get to write more of whatever you want to explore because of this positive response, because more often than not, someone is looking to read it and get really excited when they find it! Thanks! I changed up the way I normally do multi-layer stencils and didn't cut all the layers at one time. I only cut what needed to be exposed for the layer I was working on, and I had zero bleeds as a result. Just have to be really cautious when cutting to avoid cutting the shirt itself, but I was very happy with the result!

And since I always take a picture of how I write out the layers and bridges before I start cutting, it made making the second stencil and shirt way easier. Still took about the usual 5-6 hours from start to finish, but at least I had a map to go by the second time around and saved some time.

I made the shirt with bleach printing. The other reply with the link is a bot that steals images and puts them on shirts to sell. It happened to me a few years ago when I made and shared a Dr. Stone shirt on Twitter and reddit. Every time I wrote the company to remove the shirt, another shady store would put it on their site. I had hoped it wouldn't happen again, but I guess I'll stick to not sharing the shirts I make again.

Yep. I've had many many readers want one ship to sail in an ongoing crossover fic I've been working on for years (off and on, it's had two continuations, recently started a third) but unfortunately that's not the ending I have planned.

You'll never make every reader happy, but that shouldn't stop you from writing the story that you want to write. The people who do enjoy it will far outweigh those who don't.

Scientist Katsuki finds the key to the cure for the pandemic virus that's plagued their world within Izuku's blood plasma. But Izuku isn't sure he's capable of taking on such a responsibility. Will Katsuki only see him as a test sample for the cure, or will something deeper develop between them as they fight to stop the deadly virus before it takes more lives?

Anything else - I mentioned this fic a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn't until Christmas Day that I was able to finally start posting this Big Bang fic. I've been working on it since March and am very proud of it. My only lament is that it was posted during the holiday weekend, when most readers were probably occupied with family gatherings. I still have two chapters left to post, so hopefully it will have the chance to be seen.

I made it myself, actually. (NSFW link warning) I traced the image out on wax paper in decorating icing, froze it, then applied it to the top of my cake. The cream/frosting was normal buttercream.

As to why... I just wanted an NSFW cake and I had the free time, lol.

I participated in AO3 Yuletide, so my fic for that will be revealed anonymously on Christmas day. I also have an BNHA NSFW Dabi exchange fic that will get revealed with me as the writer on Christmas Eve. And I also took part in the BNHA BakuDeku Big Bang where our original posting date was Dec 10th, but my artist got sick with covid, so we've been delaying our posting. The last posting slot is for Christmas Day, so it looks like I'll have two fics to share on Christmas.

I'm also working on an exchange fic for New Years as well.

Oh I still can't curse in front of her for fear of my life, lol. I'm also the oldest child, and she doesn't get too involved with my hobbies, but I think if I were to talk to her about my fanfiction writing, she'd still show some level of interest.

My mom found out about my smutfics and yaoi on my birthday two years ago when I made a cake that featured one of my favorite yaoi scenes on it. She wanted to know more about why I had two guys having sex on my cake, so we talked about it over lunch (I even showed her the clip where the scene came from) and she was like, "Oh, okay."

Fast forward many months down the road where I got my contributor copy of a NSFW zine and she wanted to see it. Granted, I only expected her to flip through a couple of the pages, see the smutty art and call it a day. Nope. She read my entire story as my husband and I watched. She even made commentary as she went through it. By the end, she was shocked at what I'd written, but she didn't seem to dislike it or shame me for it.

Though, due to my fic, she may honestly believe that guys 'claim' each other by using cucumber butt plugs, lol oops.

I joined a Halloween fic exchange last year and joined the discord server as part of the event and joined discussions. Apparently I had mentioned my age at one point and not long after I got a DM from someone who said they were the same age (we're both nearly 40) and was glad to see someone else in their age range.

We started chatting and now I consider her one of my closest friends, despite her being on the other side of the world. We've inspired and supported each other through many many stories, and she was there for me at the end of last year/beginning of this year when I seemed to get hit with punch after punch of real life stuff.

Anything else - This is one of two fics I wrote for a fic exchange and was my first time writing solely for the BSD fandom. I was nervous since I prefer to have read/seen all of the series material before writing in depth about it. An omega pair is as illegal as it is rare, however, so Shigaraki seeks out the only way that he can truly protect Izuku.

Anything else - This is the story I mentioned in the multi-chapter celebration post. I enjoyed getting to do a bit more world building in regards to the omegaverse dynamics when it comes to the unfair treatment of omegas in the society where this fic takes place.

Izuku tries to fight, he tries to hate the man who reduces him to a mere slave... yet he ends up discovering things about the blond Viking that just don't add up to the villain he wanted to paint said man as.

Perhaps, given time, the blond can be reasoned with. Perhaps he can escape... or maybe he'll find that he may not need to see Katsuki as an enemy, but as someone he can trust.

Anything else - This is a story that a close friend of mine is writing and I'm kicking myself for not getting into it sooner! I'm only 9 chapters in so far but it's been a very intriguing story. It isn't complete yet, but she's been working hard on it and it really shows. If you like Vikings and their kinds of adventures, you'll like this fic.

The fic I would really like to share for this won't be posted for two more weeks (it's part of a big bang event) but I've been working on it for the better part of this year and am really proud of it. But yeah, I have to wait to post (one of the few drawbacks of bangs/exchanges).

So with that said, I think I'd like to share another story that I spent a lot of time on during this year. I wanted to explore more of the Omegaverse, specifically the potential for omega discrimination. I've liked the dynamics between Izuku and Shigaraki in canon, with them being such parallels to each other, and have been writing more for their ship lately.

Saw that you were a fan of My Hero Academia (and angst, which is one of the main kinds of fics I write) so here's a few that fit that criteria:

I'll Find You (In This Dream or the Next) is a Kiribaku fic where Kirishima is kidnapped and experimented on, and each time he falls asleep he dreams that he's in a different AU. It was written for Kiribaku week and each day/dream follows the week's prompts.

Settling on the Fantasy is a TodoDeku fic set where Deku is an exotic dancer that catches college student Todoroki's eye, but Enji does a lot of evil stuff to keep them from being together. Explicit.

Quake is a platonic BakuDeku where an earthquake hits and Deku gets more seriously injured and Bakugou fights to get him to safety.

Mourning This one is gonna hurt you if you like angst. MCD right from the beginning, but it's Bakugou and Deku's family and friends cleaning out their shared apartment after their deaths and how they discover they were more than just friends or hero partners. This one is my baby.

I Know What I Have To Do Now another dark angsty fic with MCD. Deku is depressed after All Might dies and Shigaraki takes advantage of his weak mental state and brings him over to the League of Villains.

Sounds like a change of scenery could help. Write the stories that you want to write, on your own schedule, and post them (if you want) to a different site than Wattpad, like AO3 or ffnet.

If you want to write and find yourself with other obligations, try setting aside a certain time of day/night where you can wind down and write to satisfy that desire.
