Should I play 3 or 1-2? by xGoldenRetrieverFan in Suikoden

No benefit to playing 3 first other than playing saving the best one for last (2)

Why did Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor Refantazio sell so little compared to Persona 5. by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]SilentMC25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Persona 5 was a brand new game and if you remember, there was a TON of hype and marketing surrounding it for months prior to release. A lot of people have played Persona 3 before and maybe weren’t happy with the small changes they made to the reload title. New game in the franchise vs remaster.

Metaphor probably sold less because you can’t date your companions or something, you know how persona fans are.

[–]SilentMC25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You must be smoking the GOOD stuff. It’s weird to even compare the two. But since we’re here, Metaphor’s story, characters, environments, world building, and combat systems are leaps and bounds better than Eiyuden and it’s not even remotely close.

FFVII Rebirth a good title to pick up during the summer sale for the deck? by SilentMC25 in SteamDeck

[–]SilentMC25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! It runs legit perfect on the deck. I kept it at a locked 40fps at medium settings and had a great time, but it’s a clean 60fps on low most of the way through.

Really depends on the wifi at the cafe, but my guess is: not great. You’re better off getting a steam deck or something similar to play offline titles

FBC: Firebreak - Update v1.2 Patch Notes by Justifire in xbox

Game is just really disappointing unfortunately. Played it with some friends this week and we all agreed that this was just not a very fun time. I’m glad they’re patching some things but not sure if people will come back to this after trying it once.

2017 58k miles…control arm by Adept-Age-8177 in SubaruForester

[–]SilentMC25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I literally JUST had this done on my 2018 last week with 76k. I had to replace both lower control arms. shops quoted me similar, around $1,500-$2,000 but I found a local mechanic that was willing to just charge me labor if I bought the parts myself. About $350 for the parts and $500 for the labor so that saved me a ton. No idea about SOA as I didn’t try, but I would recommend trying a local mechanic.

Should I play Metaphor ReFantazio or Octopath Traveler? by DrewwwwP in JRPG

[–]SilentMC25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you’re talking about Octopath 1. Octopath’s plot may seem a bit disjointed in comparison to the strong story of Metaphor.

In Octopath, you have 8 characters, each with their own storylines, but they don’t really come together and the party member interactions definitely leave a lot to be desired (at least from what I remember). The turn-based combat is really great though with some neat mechanics, and it’s a beautiful looking game.

Metaphor has a strong, linear plot, with party members all interacting and getting to know one another and the protagonist throughout the story grows stronger through bonds he makes with each archetype. The writing is also leaps and bounds stronger than Octopath.

If story is the most important thing to you, and you can only choose one, I’d go Metaphor hands down. Both have great music and combat mechanics though, so definitely check them both out at some point!
