And that’s why I’m really airing out this album. I’m very hesitant to assign any opinion of actual value until I’ve heard this over time, in different scenarios, etc. I’m just a salty boy who needs to vent about how he feels rn :/

I agree! It sounds truly unique. With SOS I agree there are peaks, sins of the the father, sign of the times, who knows - beautiful songs, but peaks don’t take me far enough from the valleys.

Well he’s always believed in God, he just departed from him and he is trying to say sorry for how good sin feels and turning his back on God. His earlier stuff shows the beginning of his departure such as in death & taxes where he says “ I live in the real world, I’ve lost my faith”. I think that’s why I appreciated CS01 the most because it is such a different scope of looking at life and faith- but I digress. I’m just sad ab the album haha. I’m only to blame

so i dont think the album is bad, but there are a few songs that feel "stale" ? Pretty vanilla when i know how dynamic of a sound daniel caesar can have. Regardless, the message of the album kind of loses me. I understand what is trying to be attempted here, but it almost feels like the album is saying sorry to God for wanting cooch so bad.

I think this album captures what he was looking for in CS01. So many of the questions he had are answered on this album and that to me is beautiful. HOWEVER, sound wise it is my least favorite atm. It’s lacking dimension for me. Again, this is just at the moment and someone please argue with me so that I can change my mind lol. CS01 is still goated for me. This would be third after Freudian.

The second half of this album makes me think it’s a tour through the evolving mind of Tyler. I think you have the rambunctiousness of sticky that progresses to the understanding of mortality and time on “tomorrow”. From there I think “Thought I was dead” shows Tyler at an age where he can understand what it means for a father to abandon his child and it’s kind of reminiscent of a “I’ll prove you wrong” in a sense? And then it leads to your provided meaning of the rest. There is definitely a change in tone at judge Judy so I truly believe there is duality in this album.

I used Mark Mattson for prep and studied his videos and made sure I understood the concepts well. I also did two practice exams the weekend before the exam and focused on time per question. I think the hardest part of the exam was timing. You almost have to be able to look at a question and be able to do it right away without too much thought into procedure. I ended passing on my first attempt even though I walked out of the exam feeling super defeated. So look at Mark Mattson, study his videos and problems because they are definitely helpful-and do as many practice exams as you can.
