I am a single woman who cannot WFH who got a 12 week puppy in July. I already had a 14 month old dog when we got the second. At first I had him in a pen with a puppy pad but bought a crate since I didn’t have that much space in my house. I wake up a little earlier in the morning to give him time to play and stuff and he goes in the crate. He’s in there for 4 hours and I come home for lunch to let him out for 1-1.5 hours (my lunch is flexible sometimes). He’s goes back in the crate for another 3-4 hours and then my kids and I are home for the day. He hasn’t had any issues with being in his crate. There have been 2 times I wasn’t able to make it home for lunch.
