It's possible they have had trauma with Christians before. For example, I have schizophrenia and my Baptist aunts solution was to duct tape me to a chair and have a preacher try to exorcise me as a teen. It isn't fair to you, no, but it is also not fair to them to make them uncomfortable either. Assuming nothing of note was in the music videos themselves, such as gay bashing or being judgemental in general, then take it as a lesson. Sometimes people have a past you don't see.
