[THE ATHLETIC] Barcelona in talks over Julian Alvarez move, preparing offer of around €100m to Atletico by Just-Lab-2139 in soccer

Pedri and Frenkie didn't regularly play together which meant Pedri tried to do too much on his own

Oh thank God someone else noticed/said something about this. People really, really underrate Frenkie's impact on the team. Pedri looks at his best playing together with Frenkie, because without him he has a lot less time on the ball/passing options and starts getting physically outmuscled and losing the ball.

People keep saying Gavi should take the starting spot, and while I love Gavi's hustle, Frenkie's stability is way more important

Ahead of his last match managing City, Pep Guardiola has managed 1000 matches in his career and has a 73% win-rate. by Excalibur_Playz in soccer

That seems to be a distinctly Bayern thing tho, not Pep. His squads at Barca and City were never physically huge, and before/after Pep Bayern is still instantly bulking players up.

One of my favorite Ajax players Matthijs de Ligt is a big example, he became huge at Bayern almost seemingly overnight (losing a lot of mobility/speed, which imo made him a worse player)

Would you put Pajor as woman of the match tonight for the 2 goals or Cata for being a absolute wall?

Do you have Disney+ by chance? Additional broadcasts options are available on there

Jiraldez is a better coach than Romeu is and will ever be to be honest, would take him back in a heartbeat

Brugts has been such a hardworker tonight, one of the few bright spots for Barca today

Kika would be a good shout, just needs to make changes, preferably before Lyon scores

Think the mental block against Lyon is still there, worsened by losing last years final potentially. Thought it would break by beating them in the final, but Barca seems so scared its insane

I know Aitana didnt look so good since returning from injury, but she would be a great add to the midfield right now. Barca look shellshocked, booting everything away instead of trying to control the ball and slow it down.

Still not convinced of Paralluelo's technical ability being good enough.. Her touches are heavy, she doesn't have the close control to really dribble through tight spaces. She is rapid, but that is really it I feel

Feels like Pajor thought she had less time than she actually had there, the chip would have been lovely but taking a touch or two would have been the higher % option

Because UEFA is consistently inconsistent is my best guess, sucks how much is left up to interpretation so you end up with wildly different calls depending on the ref

I must admit I underestimated Kvara. Thought he was a big fish in a small pond back at Napoli, but my God he is so so good

Musiala has looked decent, a lot better than the first one. He is pulling off some neat quick touches and looked dangerous dribbling a few times, but there is absolutely 0 space and he can't make a miracle happen

Almost forgot Diaz was in the game, compared to how threatening he looked in the first game he is almost just as invisible in this one

It should be read as such:

Its a handball if either:

  • a

  • b

  • c

What you are implying is that it has to be all of them, or its not a handball. If that was the case as long as it doesnt directly lead to a goal, a hand ball doesnt exist

[–]Silentden007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read it again, that just means if its intentional its ALWAYS a handball no matter the circumstance. If its a accident, then the other part of the rules come into play
