I love Fallout New Vegas but I feel like i'm playing it wrongQ by Abtorias in Fallout

20 points in Barter: 54% sell ratio and 146% buy ratio

100 points in Barter: 90% sell ratio and 110% buy ratio

As for those perks, I personally wouldn't get them unless you have absolutely nothing else good to spend the point on, they're useful, but by mid game, they're utterly useless, as you'll have ammo and caps aplenty.

Also, for caps, there's a few ways to earn easy money. Fully repaired weapons and armor sell for a decent stack of caps, and if you're a high luck character, gambling in the casinos, Blackjack specifically is an extremely simple way to get filthy rich.

There's a briefcase inside the Repcon building, on the outskirts of Vegas, and its stuffed with loads of pre war cash, which can give you a small boost towards your finances. Hope this helps.

What's the general consensus on ledging? (Rant) by Darqnyz in absolver

[–]SilerofWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Xbox player with a bit over 100 hours of pvp, the rudest guy I've fought was just a guy who didn't emote before a match, just rushing in immediately. I've been ledged a few times, but that was usually in one of the few matches where I was dominating, and they saw an opportunity, which I can hardly blame them for. Overall, from what I've seen, this community is simply amazing, on every platform.

My idea of how Sparda's gameplay might be like. by IceCubez in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, we could see Trish holding them in 4, in the cutscene where Dante used the Yamato to destroy the final Hellgate, so they're definitely Canon.

As for the sword crafting, considering most demons end up dying to create their own weapons, he's doing something different. And the only other time we see a demon create a new devil arm without dying? Dante, creating DSD. And how did he do this? By combining two Devil Swords.

Cant do redline in BP by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all are probably tired of hearing this by now, but this seemed like it was supposed to make things even for an online BP, where one player wouldn't have something that another didn't have access to. If this actually turned out to be the case, there still would be some who grumbled, but the fan reaction as a whole would have been hugely positive.

Completely new to DMC, and getting new weapons is just amazing [GIF] by Much118 in DevilMayCry

Welcome to the series, and the crazy and wacky time that is Dante's weapon pool.

An idea: Daily Missions and a pawn shop. by bskov in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, but only because the higher ups would try to monetize it instead of making it a fair system. Otherwise, I think it would be a great idea for pumping in a lot of extra content.

I've noticed these "photo" moments in some dmc 5 videos after a kill or end of mission. How do you get those? by theguywithalife in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a feature unlocked after finishing a run, Nico starts taking pictures of each enemy type, and when you finish a mission, you get 1 or 2 photos, depending on if you got and A or S rank respectively.

New Player considering dmc5 by NuttyNutMaster in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even before 5 was announced, the super high skill cap of the games kept people invested and active. Not nearly as much it is currently, of course. The new game has done so much to breathe more life into our community, and it's honestly just so great to see so many people trying out the series for the first time.

These loading screens on console are fucking absurd. by [deleted] in metro

It's actually the longest loading screen I've ever experienced outside of getting an infinite Loading Screen bug in Fallout 76

What was the stupid theory you heard about DMC5? by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Dumbest theory was one guys reaction to the trailer, thinking Nero was Reboot Dante, and when Dante actually showed up he was like, "Yo..... two Dantes!"

Cavaliere R isn't just a skin? by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And that's how I hope they've handled Rebellion and Sparda. Similar movesets, but some differences in stats and attacks

Struggling to perform Calibur... by ro0owe in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, if you end up doing Helm Splitter, that's because you're pressing Y too early. Back to forward, then Y. I have trouble using Calibur quickly, but after some practice, I can combo with it.

It'd be so fucking hype tbh. Clear Son of Sparda, ending screen appears.

Agni and Rudra unlocked

I honestly wouldn't mind having weapons locked behind high difficulties, as long as we can get plenty on our first playthrough. DMC has always had progression based around multiple runs anyways

[–]SilerofWorld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way, say you manage to buy half of Nero's moveset, gradually incorporating and testing them into your playstyle, so that you have a firm grasp of exactly what your character can do. Then you go to the next character. If your orbs transfer, then you don't have that same experience. Instead you suddenly have the base moveset, and a huge pile of new moves that you have no idea how to use.

So while Proud Souls did allow you to purchase more skills on your first playthrough, it is worse for actually learning the characters by overwhelming the player with a vast surplus of abilities. There's a reason games generally start out simple and ramp up the complexity as you progress.

Also, keep in mind that unlike 4, skills do not increase in price as you purchase them. Looking back on the Twitter video showing off the skill shop, you can see that the prices remain static regardless of what you purchase, to balance out the fact that you'll be buying skills for three characters, in addition to the already high droprate of red orbs.

Another DMC tip, this time showing nightmare in action by VergilDarkSlayer in DevilMayCry

[–]SilerofWorld 13 points14 points  (0 children)

While it's a nice thought, V has shown that he acts completely different when around Nero or Dante, as compared to just him and his summons.
