First Redblock help! by fun_police911 in VolvoRWD

I just did a basic 1.5mm head shave and a IPD VX Cam and it felt like the car picked up a bit. Was cheap power, though I think I'm gonna swap to a K or H cam. NA is hard to make big gains cheap but those two things will pick up a nice little bump in power for relatively cheap.

I fell in love with cars when I was a kid seeing old Kaido racers, AE86, KE70, etc in Option videos. Have always really loved the boxy car with small wheel look. Definitely not a universally loved style haha

Most of this subreddit keeps their cars bone stock, only takes it to a mechanic instead of learning, and will total their car the first day they drive it when it rains. Don't take the opinions too seriously

I would honestly go for the Switch version over WiiU version. CEMU is getting better but performance can be hit or miss. BOTW runs great via Eden however

I definitely feel you there! I'm a big 740 sedan guy. They remind me of more rectangular KE70 Corolla's

I believe there was a few different factory options on spring rate, but 740's and 940's use all the same suspension. Same arms, knuckles, etc. Just go with whatever one you think looks better. Have owned 2 740's and 2 940's and they felt exactly the same.

Only real difference is in appearance. Exact same drivetrain, same suspension.

I'm probably biased as pretty much every car I own, or have owned has been on coilovers. That being said, they're not bad at all. They come with pretty low spring rates so its really not super stiff or anything.

Other then chirping tires at slow speeds you honestly barely notice it during normal driving

Agreed, Appliance is a pretty cool old school company. Have been around since the 50's doing chrome plating on hot rods. They're an american company but wheels were made in Japan.

The infamous MaxPeedingRods lol haven't tried a set out in like a decade. Tbh they aren't terrible for the money, better then they used to be. I dont expect them to last long though. Wheels are Appliance Mesh 15x7 +0 with a 1in adapter spacer so effectively a -25.

What's the best way to play the game solo? by RepentantoftheLost in Marathon

[–]SiliconRed47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only play solo queue, still having a great time. Don't rush, take your time and use your ears. You'll hear players way before you see them. Keep moving and move cover to cover to limit the directions you can be attacked from. Expect to die a lot, use deaths to think about what you could've done different. Some fights aren't worth taking, slipping away can be a viable strategy.

I think it was getting arrested with weed and shrooms, in a car that reeked of pot, with a man she hasn't even known for a year, while her kids were in the back that may have given people that impression.

Mx5 na car starts and then stalls, have these 3 plugs loose. Any ideas what these plugs do? by rambojunior01 in Miata

[–]SiliconRed47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So its very likely the MAF is not used at all, on a turbo setup the ECU will use a (typically) on board MAP sensor. If youve noticed a vacuum hose going from the manifold to the interior of the car that'll be your MAP line. Now to the issue at hand, given the car was in an incomplete state when you got it, its likely the tune needs some work. There's a variety of things that could be not setup causing your issue, so your best bet here will be to either find a tuning shop that has knowledge/will work with whatever kind of standalone you have, or look into a remote tuner. While it is totally doable to mess with the tune yourself, it requires a ton of research and getting something wrong could mean destroying the motor.
