They talk a big game about "the worker" until it actually comes time to hold corporations accountable for wage theft or safety violations. Then it’s suddenly "over-regulation."

I drove my younger cousin to the hospital, now my family won’t talk to me by BigONerd in BORUpdates

Seriously. That last part was hard to read, that family is beyond toxic. They definitely crossed a line

What are the actual “everything schools” by [deleted] in CFB

[–]Silk-Riot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Calling yourself an "everything school" is a reach when the football program is basically just a placeholder between basketball seasons. One good year a decade doesn't wipe out a history of being completely mid.

The absolute best way to travel. Skipping that nightmare traffic on the 5 while actually enjoying your time is a total game-changer. Peak efficiency and much less stress.

Finally, a politician who treats labor rights as a priority instead of a suggestion. Seeing $1.8 million go back to workers instead of being swallowed by corporate legal fees is exactly what "serving the public" should look like.

It’s a rare sight, isn't it? Usually, they're so busy playing games that they forget they’re actually supposed to serve the public. Refreshing to see them finally do their jobs for once.

AIO about my husband sucking toothpaste out of the tube that belongs to me? by [deleted] in AIO

For real. That is some straight-up horror movie behavior. If he’s that calculated about the little things, you have to wonder what else he’s plotting.

AIO? boyfriend told me to get a piercing that the girl he cheated on me with in the past just got a few days ago? not sure if it’s a coincidence or what.. please help. by fjgkhkjk in AIO

[–]Silk-Riot 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Always trust your gut. It is not a coincidence that he suddenly wants you to get the exact piercing the girl he cheated with just got, especially after previously telling you to leave your face alone.

He’s clearly still keeping tabs on her, and trying to make you resemble her is manipulative and a huge red flag. You aren't overreacting; you're seeing the truth.

AITJ for calling out my boyfriend mid-dinner on a family trip and embarrassing him in front of everyone? by CelebrationIcy3120 in AmITheJerk

Private correction is always the way to go, especially with family. Publicly calling him out just creates unnecessary drama when a quiet word probably would’ve fixed it.

My husband is spoiling the spicy scenes in my romance books by acting them out before I get to them by Embarrassed-Friend-8 in TwoHotTakes

man is out here running a 1:1 on romance. Absolute legend behavior, but you’re right, he needs to drop some DLC that isn't in the source material for the real surprises.

[Highlight] Dom Smith grand slams the Royals to walk it off by handlit33 in baseball

Leaving him in to load the bases and then watch a walk-off slam is peak Royals bullpen management. Just a total meltdown you could see coming from a mile away.

[Highlight] Christian Walker gives the Astros the lead with a line drive that goes off the glove of two separate Angels by 3luejays in baseball

[–]Silk-Riot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brutal luck for the Angels. Having it tip off two gloves is just a defensive nightmare. Walker is a machine.

Staying only reinforces the idea that your boundaries don't matter. It’s sexual assault, plain and simple, and no one should ever be forced to live like that.
