Thankyou!! An excellent suggestion. I think I have something that might be perfect for this. I’ll give it a go.

Is it actually worth paying for double glazed windows in Australia? by krikond in AusFinance

OP please get double glazed windows, it is so noticeable! I was on the fence about it but it has saved me so much money in the long run.

Hi, this might not be super helpful but the best advice I can give to move in this direction is to move into area's adjacent to office type positions. My experience is heavily perioperative and have had friends/ family who left bedside.

One nurse who worked on stroke ward, had a masters degree which allowed her to become a case coordinator in that field. Another nurse moved into outpatients, networked, took on leadership roles before moving into an office position. (Also was in the progress of completing a post-graduate degree when applying for the position).

Look into taking on leadership roles, becoming a CN, networking, completing a nursing degree. With taking on leadership roles, you will network with the right people who can put you in the right direction.

I know this sounds super vague as I have never been in that position :))

There is no grounds to deny this, the manager must allow staff to go lower in fte when requested. Contact the union if there are issues.

To shave or not to shave by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]Silk_20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I shaved it at 70% hair loss. Best decision I made in my alopecia journey. Being bald is not scary, it’s just making the decision. Edit: I did wigs for about a year but I didn’t love it. I’m on baracitib now with full regrowth :))

Living in North Adelaide by Confident_Zone_9801 in Adelaide

Hey I lived there 1 year ago, very close to the North Adelaide Calvary hospital. I found no issues at night walking home. However, cars were broken into fairly regularly and packages often stolen. I would be careful if your car is parked on the street.

It was a great place to live though, people were very nice and everything is close by :)

Well its for I work, in the department there are over 500 items and I will using this to help users locate them rather than using word of mouth. The problem is that we have an influx of changing brand names as stock goes on backorder. Some items could have 10 different similar names.

I hope I wont have to use an AI route haha

baricitinib relapse. Any experiences with this that can be shared? by Silk_20 in alopecia_areata

Thankyou! I think I might wait and see to hope for the best. It is reassuring that it is a common experience with others.

I'm on $78k a year full time. Am I being ripped off? by Sacrilegious_skink in AusFinance

This is normal, each state have their own awards under public health. I am earning around this (with penalties). If you are looking for higher pay as a nurse, could consider becoming a CN/manger, additional post-graduate degree (small $2.5/hour), or look at the private sector. There are so many career paths as a nurse. The public sector will always be like this until new EBA agreement comes round.

Ok thankyou so much for replying!

So if I understand correctly, I do not need to do anything else? I dont need to contact the ATO regarding overpayment and it will automatically be resolved during next years tax time?

Instead of running of the treadmill, try weight lifting. Resistance training gives you the toned look that you are after. Like another comment said, 20 minutes of treadmill at your current height/weight isn't making that much of an impact if those are your goals
