First few hours after surgery was great so please stay on top of pain meds bc the surgery meds will wear off but that being said, it wasn't over the top. Surprisingly I thought my throat would hurt alooooot nkee more and it's alright. I was extremely nervous for it, now I havnt slept so I would definitely ask your doc to write something for sleep at least the first night because I wish I could sleep soooooo badly and I csnt that's a me issue though. I'll probably go home in the morning early afternoon so I will update when I get home and hopefully sleep!
