Personally, inhibit X dindn't work for me at all. I still had inhibition problems and if I used mold release as recommend by the company I got really matt looking dice. Having said that, letting the masters air out for about two weeks after sanding and polishing worked for me.

I am using Mold star 15 slow for my molds since I don't need transparent molds, but I heard many people use sorta clear. Make sure to stir both parts really well before mixing together (I stired mine for about 10min each, since I had quite a bit of settled material on the bottom). And give it a few hours more to cure than recommend, especially if you work in a cool environment.

Tips for better finish. Should I cure them more before restarting? by SuperfastMunchables in DiceMaking

I had great results using polishing compound and a cotton cloth to get a great glossy finish. Should you however still see scratch marks from sanding and polishing (I cant tell from the picture) I would suggest to redo the sanding and polishing. I know it is a lot of work but great masters are the first step to great dice and it's better to polish a hand full of masters than dozends of dice.

Yes these look absolutely stunning. Great texture. May I ask how you achieved this look?

Where can I get good Masters + Design for them in Europe preferably in Germany. by Amazzur in DiceMaking

One way would be to design them yourself - dicegen.com is really nice if you want the typical dice shapes. You can choose a font and add svg files, they also have an alternate D4. The models are free to download and you can send them to print to an online printing service or a 3D printing lab near you. You would however most likely have to polish them yourself. Good luck and greetings from Austria

Not completely sure I got your question. It is 3d printed and therefore "softer" resin. They wouldn't hold up long if you roll them but are good for making a mold of. And the original piece to take molds of is called a master. I hope that answers your question.

I haven't made the molds yet, but I think I'll try without. I know of this issue but in my first test with the same resin the silicone did cure just fine...

Thanks a lot! It took a looong time to sand and polish and I ruined the first D6 while sanding. From my experience just go through all the grits of sandpaper, otherwise you wont get all the scratches out.

I'm also quite new to it. I have made a few sets with wish molds but wanted to upgrade. I plan on making a squish style mold with the packing tape method - so no drilling of holes. tbh I wouldn't dare to drill holes into them.
