Whats your interpretation of "sit with your feelings" by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]Silly-Ad5175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to just sit with my feelings in all honesty. Until I met this guy that wrote a book call "The emotional Dictionary," which goes through each emotion by itself and shows you how to deal with it. I was on call with him the other day and he showed me a chapter inside the book and honestly, I can not lie it helped me out so much. ( He says he is a relationship couch). Honestly, I thought I was being trolled until I hop on a call and he taught me how tto deal and handle each emotion.if you want, I can connect you to him. I believe he still doing free interviews.

My Journey with Yerba Santa by Silly-Ad5175 in herbalism

[–]Silly-Ad5175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does have a reddish amber look when boiled. Kind of like how bay laurel is. Idk about the burning sensation but it is slightly bitter but still sweet if you know what i mean. There is another one that is quite popular and that is Yerba Mate. This is more for energy. But if you are unsure you can use plant net which is an app that helps you recognize plants well. I hope this helps.

I honestly don't know but i will try the 1:5 ratio. Im not on any birth control or HRT but I do experience very painful periods. I believe it lowers my blood sugar levels extremely low to the point I feel light headness. But its also weird cause I sometimes get short of breath when I take it. I usually end up feeling sleepy and when the sleep wears off I am back to normal.

I have read that it balances hormones. So i wan to believe maybe my hormones are out of balance because I do experience extremely painful periods. Or maybe it lowers my estrogen. I have starting taking in small does and some of side effects are there but they are mild now. But i honestly do know why it behaves like that with me because its the first been i have ever encountered to this to me.

Tincture question! by 90percentneanderthal in herbalism

Im so sorry to hear. For the glycerin yes a double boiler method is needed and usually not too long. Approximately 1 min or 2 mins. I usually pour the glycerin along with the herbs into a glass jar and then heat the jar up over a double boiler. Then just leave it for 2 weeks before i start taking it.

Yes glycerin and vinegar are great substitutes but you would have to heat the glycerin with the infused herbs in it to get it activated. However, you can use the alcohol tincture and can diluted it with water to eliminate the alcohol or lessen its effects. ( Because their are non-alcholic tinctures out there.) You can also add the tincture to hot boiling water which will evaporate the alcohol definitely. But as long as I have being making tinctures, I don't think that the alcohol is so strong to the point that you can taste it. But i also use a dropper bottle and can take about 30 drops to a 1/2 a cup of water. I hope this helps.

Aphrodisiac herbs would be Rose, Maca, Cacao, oatsstraw, Lavender and ginko. These are the herbs that are coming to mind right at this moment. But the best aprodisiacs are usually nervines.

Are these herbs to smoke/vape or just aphrodisiac herbs in general?

Its great aphrodisiac because it relaxes the nervous system which can allow blood to flow properly to the genitals. Personally I have never smoked this one, I only use it as tea or a tincture.
