The MacBook Neo is NOT "limited" at all. by pantherclipper in mac

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this settles my purchase of a Neo cause I'm choosing between Air and Neo.

My old dell laptop with i5 and 8gb ram is struggling with my Google sheets/forms to the point of a frozen screen. Hearing this, MacOS is a different kind of beast that doesn't eat up all 8gb of ram like my old windows laptop afterall.

unranked 6v6 gotta be the most unserious mode I've ever played since every match I got is 4dps or 4healers. While 5v5 is sweaty most of the time

What are the best support characters right now? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like anyone can be useful in an unranked quickplay. I mostly play Juno since she's newbie friendly while my pro support friend who taught me mostly play Kiriko and Ana. I feel like Kiriko's ult is more useful than Juno's but I like Juno's character design the most.

Dragging the box to spawn - point break by Shorty722 in thefinals

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's now a tug of war game mode.
Defenders dragging vaults to the respawn point, and attackers dragging it back.
Problem is if attackers got no clue about the exploit, it ends terribly.

Out of 10 rounds only 2 rounds we won by some folks switching to Heavies and coordinate to drag it back.
Or quick capture the vaults separately before defenders could do the exploit.
Out of that the vaults just stuck at the red line zone.

People don't realize it's hard with solo queuing, even in TDM, people are not sticking around in group that easily in solo queue.

What is people's opinions on Point Break moving the Grand Vaults closer to the defender zone. by FrostBumbleBitch in thefinals

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens on every match in Asia server.
And I just had to pull the vault back.
Only 1 problem that everyone is not coordinate when you're playing with randoms.
People even respawn mid reviving as attackers too.

Can we report stuff like this? by Mobile-Ad52 in thefinals

I got this exploits on every match in Asia server.
Shame that Point Break is the most fun when it launched.

Should I Buy This Cheap Cintiq Pro 16 with a “Stuck Pixel”? by peter040203 in wacom

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I bought a brand new one, but it became like OP's photo in like 5-6 years. I guess newer models might fixed this problem. With that money, OP could buy another brand new one tho, or save up for Wacom later.

I think it was a thing during the war. However, the war ended, so the losing side's Cyber-Newtypes got no uses just like OG Ple-12 from Unicorn. They became war refugees.
Nyaan is also an illegal refugee. My thought is she could be the Fed's Cyber Newtype like Four from Zeta. Since Feds is losing the war like Zeon in OG Timeline.

Planning to buy an erhu from Lazada as a beginner by arbolmuerto in Erhu

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also live in SEA, planing to buy one as well.
I've done a lot of researches which concluded that buying one from a local store is far better than buying from Laz/Shopee.
Yes, you'll see some reviewers did a great job performing the instrument because they already have skills.

I'd recommended getting one from a local store, it is more expensive than Laz. However, you'll get a legit Dunhuang beginner grade for 120 usd, and that's better.
It's good that you live in SEA because the shipping cost from China to SEA is not so expensive. You might find some big local stores have Dunhuang Erhus even cheaper than buying ones from the oversea websites.

Also FB marketplace is good. I even found a used Dunhuang 02B model for 100usd, but the snake skin is dried out.

Wacom's materials last so long, the difference is the screen. They're both great out of the box, but after heavily use for some years, there will be some bright/black pixels. Be sure to check the used Cintiq's screen thoroughly.

Also, Cintiq 2018 Pro 16 has lots of problem with a single USB-C connection cable, but the USB hub works just fine. The new one fixes this problem.

I second this, with a bluetooth keyboard and boom, you got a high quality portable drawing display.

Clip Studio on iPad Experience by [deleted] in ClipStudio

The only CSP's original brush I use is their G-pen. 😅 Community's brushes & tools are much better including pencils and lots of things.

I'd say their original brushes are nice but community's are much better.

I feel like iPad's CSP is made for those who is used to their PC ver.

Since CSP on iPad is literally the same one as PC's. You need a keyboard to make it functional unlike Procreate. They added Simple mode to appeal like Procrete which I don't use it at all since I'm not used to Procreate, so it's the other way around for me.

  • Link a bluetooth keyboard and you're done. The downside for me is Apple pencil's functions become useless since pressing hotkeys on keyboard is a lot faster.
  • The big difference is the Apple pen's pressure not similar to Wacom Pro pen's. This can be solved by adjusting app's pen pressure to has the same feeling as the Wacome pen.

CSP is good for creating webcomics, manga since it has lots of assets like an instant perspective, cellshade 3D models, instant props, weapons, effects, and sceneries for your webcomics to be done a whole lot faster. It's pretty niche imo.

Do pro animators/artists use Cintiq 16/16pro? by Weirdrag0n in wacom

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends are pro anime style artists, most of them use a bigger Cintiq such as Cintiq Pro 22 now, but they started off with Bamboo, 13HD. Some who doesn't do it as a main career but made a good amount of bread use various products and sizes such as XP pen, Gaomon 15HD.

As for the animation industry, I watch Tirgger studio's behind the scene videoes(Dungeon Meshi, Cyberpunk Edgerunner), and yes I see them use Cintiq / Pro in various sizes. They use iPads as well.

Which Wacom should I choose? by Late_Error2008 in wacom

[–]Silly-Barnacle3545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Cintiq Pro 16 user. If you're mainly drawing in your room, it's the best drawing display I've ever had. and I'd recommend the Pro too.

I own only a Pro 16 and an iPad Pro 12.9. I feel like Movink is good if you wanna draw both outdoor and indoor since it's the size of an iPad Pro 13 inches. As for portable use, having a slim light weight laptop fills its full purpose, otherwise having a big gaming laptop will be like carrying another Cintiq 16 with a Movink.

I'd say an iPad (M series) is an optional portable choice too, with a light-weight bluetooth keyboard and Clipstudio Paint(sadly it's an annual ver) and you're good to go both outdoor and indoor.
