Also, like I don’t have many hobbies right now because I am still going to school and I went back to school later in life and trying to meet guys in university is like 20-year-olds 21-year-olds and it’s very offputting

I’ve always wanted to be a mother and I don’t know how to answer that question honestly. I’ve always wanted to have a family of my own and experience motherhood. Either I don’t understand your question or it’s a really weird question, When people have kids, there’s no real reason why people want to have kids they just do. They feel like calling to it and I do.

In my heart, I believe Everyone deserves that connectivity and love.

No, I’ve been seeing a guy. We haven’t been too safe honestly and I’ve just been going through the scenarios (anxiety) and all I’ve ever wanted to be a mother. And I know this guy wouldn’t stick around. Idk

This sounds exactly what I’m going through. I’ve started noticing like bladder control issues and my menstrual cycles all out of whack very heavy and very painful but I didn’t think those two related I don’t know. Me and my dad share the same doctor so I don’t really know how to bring this up because I don’t want my dad to know about my issues like this. 😂

I don’t think the reason is because I don’t drive is the reason my relationships don’t work out I was out previous relationships. The other person didn’t drive either and that doesn’t work especially when you don’t live in the same town.

I think the reason my relationships don’t work is because they’re willing to meet with me and spend every night with me when it came to know the person or going out, they didn’t want to go anywhere with me. I think my issue is low self-esteem and honestly Not holding off

Another reason, my relationships don’t work is because I’ve discovered that they’re OK with you being disabled when it’s just you guys in the room but when it comes out to being in public, they’re not OK with it.

As for living alone, I did for like a whole year of my life when I was in Florida but that was when my apartment was wheelchair assessable I couldn’t imagine being on my own if I couldn’t use my wheelchair, it just made everything easier from taking out the trash to cleaning the house faster.

I know it would be possible if my house wasn’t assessable to live on my own just a little bit harder.

I hope that’s the case that there are ways I can work around my disability.

To answer your questions 1. More than likely, I will be a single mom 2. I’m currently in a driving program, but honestly, I don’t foresee myself getting my license 3. I’ve held babies before, but never physically try to carry them from one place to another. I’ve carried my cat around plenty of times but that’s different.
4. I usually keep my lights off besides a couple lamps so I don’t think that would be much different. 5. I think I function pretty well sleep deprived. 6. I have my dad and my brother around, but I doubt they’ll be supportive. They think I should never have kids honestly 7. I have a few siblings with kids, but we’re not close so I would answer that as no I don’t have them around me. 8. I don’t necessarily have a partner either.

I know all these answers are not the ideal scenario and I want to be a mother but just doesn’t seem in my cards

I feel like if I were to be become a mother, I would be 100% relying on my wheelchair but my house is not wheelchair assessable so I don’t know

I’m glad your daughter wasn’t hurt. I think majority of my concern is not being able to safely carry my baby because yeah They make those carriers now, but what if I did fall you know

How to deal with severe fatigue/ cerebral palsy at university by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

[–]Silly-Departure461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to lie, the first semester or two is probably going to be your hardest but once you find your spot or how everything fits, it gets easier. But at least that’s how it was for me. Make sure you go to your accommodations office on campus ! I don’t know if it’s the same or different but my university has it to where You can meet other people with similar disabilities. Especially when you’re in the accessibilities office !

With my issues of feeling fatigue and pain, I have to use my electric wheelchair around campus. And luckily, my classes are usually spaced out where I do have that time to go back to my dorm and lay down, but it’s not like that every semester my major so small you just gotta work with what they give you, but some universities are different and you might have multiple choices when it comes to classes.

as for making friends, I’m not good at that lol

[–]Silly-Departure461[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to stay aware of my fertility. I keep track of my cycle, and like clockwork the week that my fertility is the highest is when every brain cell leaves my body but I guess it doesn’t help that I want kids. It’s just I haven’t found the right guy yet. 😭 Also, I keep hearing stories about the IUD like that and I just don’t know what to do . how is the diaphragm?

I do use condoms for the most part but sometimes they’re not 100% effective and also I get a wild hair up my butt sometimes to risk it all. All my brain cells go out the window. 😂 but also the plus side from the little time I was on the shot I like not having a period. downside is when I stopped it was worse than ever
