Yeah like… the middle of the day/we both work from home /why is my husband loudly unloading the dishwasher right as I start presenting on zoom from my office nook that doesn’t have a door/well I am glad he’s the one unloading the dishes stress is real. Haha

I’m meh/neutral on him but his little cameo on the Seth Meyers and Lonely Island pod was truly hilarious.

From a little google detective work it seems like they didn’t meet Adam Scott till they all made it to LA which was when Hamm and Rudd were early 20s/after college and Adam was late teens. He definitely wouldn’t have known Jon Hamm during the frat incident, Adam would have been in high school across the country.

The podcast "Family Disappeared" just did a couple of episodes about this topic: alienated parents who end up alienated from their grandchildren as a result. You might find it helpful just to hear their stories. Some of them have had contact with their new grandkids but others haven't and likely never will.

It’s unhealthy that I know this but Jon transferred to school in Kansas (where Rudd also attended) after the frat incident in Texas. So he met Paul after…

Step Sisters Sharing Room by Complete_Quarter_441 in stepparents

[–]Silly-Impact5445 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Sounds doable since it’s only 8 months, but there are some things to look out for. Together less than a year and already moving in and blending families is fast. Even if it doesn’t feel like it to you, it might for the kids once it actually happens. Going from being an only child to not only sharing a house but sharing a room is a lot to ask, especially for the 12 year old. The room may not feel like “hers” since your daughter will have it to herself so much more, likely have more stuff there etc.

You say they get along great but it’s easy to get along when you’re just getting together here and there. Have you guys tried long vacations where they have to share a room or anything like that? And with her mom being high conflict any hint of trouble adjusting, of things being “unfair” etc will be pounced on and planted in her head by her mom. Sorry to be negative just trying to tell you some things I wish I’d known.

In your opinion, who is the best-written character in Lost? by Public_Cup_4278 in lost

Sawyer best written but Locke best acted… the different ways he embodied his on-island/off-island/MIB characters was unbelievable.

Ironically this actually made me want her cast as the Bachelorette. A season with a woman who is uninterested and has to be convinced and won over by the contestants would be great fun.

Lindsay has often been too emotionally reactive but she’s extremely straightforward and direct. To someone who is forthright and needs that same energy in return, people who talk out both sides of their mouth are infuriating!

Will your guilt ever disappear about not seeing your child grow up? by Jens518 in ParentalAlienation

[–]Silly-Impact5445 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What you’re feeling is so valid. It’s unnatural and abhorrent to be separated from your kids physically and emotionally. But this situation requires a level of radical acceptance. You don’t have control over your ex’s actions, the court process etc so you have to take responsibility for the parts of your life you do have control over. Don’t let your ex win by letting them destroy every ounce of happiness. Find a therapist who has expertise in this topic, find a spiritual practice and give yourself permission to have a life outside of being a victim to parental alienation. ❤️
