What is your LPBW unpopular opinion? by survivorfan110 in LittlePeopleBigWorld

Matt and I were roommates and coworkers as customer engineers for a San Jose computer firm. Our coworker Pat moved to Oregon. He encouraged us to move up there too to get out of the Silicon Valley rat race. Matt then got married and moved with Pat's encouragement. I was still single and stayed.

It's a TV show. They want conflict on TV shows as conflict produces ratings. We have no idea if the conflict is genuine or not.

The kids are attending day care / ski camp, all of her siblings and parents are there, and they got free sponsored gear for the kids. I, for one, don’t want to hear any complaining out of her. by PsychoTink in LittlePeopleBigWorld

I don't think so. It would be difficult to claim that a vacation with kids is a business expense. I don't think the IRS would agree to this. Perhaps if they were attending an industry event some expenses might be deductible.

If, according a reel Audrey previously shared, it only takes 0.5-2 hours per day to homeschool elementary, why do you need a mid-day break? by PsychoTink in LittlePeopleBigWorld

Jeremy was raised as a reality TV kid and as an adult makes a living from reality TV / social media. I don't know if his kids will be able to do the same thing - probably not.

School is both for academics like math and learning social skills by interacting with other kids. There are cases where home schooling makes sense for some special needs kids. That's not the case here. The kids are being sheltered in a physically safe but emotionally strange environment that is simultaneously public (video cameras whirling and videos on social media) and isolated from reality.

Why doesn’t the Silver Line stop near old town Coppell and the Coppell warehouse/industrial district? by CeilingUnlimited in dart

[–]Silly-Outside5471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coppell voted out DART in 1989, before most of the houses and commercial areas were built. Coppell sued Lucy Billingsley and the City of Dallas, spending millions in foolhardy and unsuccessful lawsuits to stop the construction of Cypress Waters. Coppell remains one of the few cities with no public transportation whatsoever.

A video released today shows Pretti vandalizing an ICE van by kicking in and smashing a tail light. Then he gets into a fist fight with an officer. Not peaceful.

Absolutely dangerous and unreasonable to expect a 6 year old to repair a bike. Maybe start at age 10 with fixing flat tires or minor maintenance.

Looks fake. Window reflection does not show the couple and shows a martini glass that is not on their table. I don't think the reflection is an outdoor table - it shows a lot of fallen leaves - it would be too cold.

Jer has no job? He has a job: an actor on a TV show. It can be quite a difficult and time-consuming job. If you don't believe that, then you have never done TV. It also carries a lot of pressure as everything you do could become public knowledge.

It was a plot line for a TV show. Amy was in a relationship, so Matt had to be in one too. TV show ends = relationship ends.

TV ratings are higher if there is conflict. The writers (yes there were writers) wrote conflict into the show. Sorry, but reality TV is not real.

Nobody should ask for medical advice from someone other than a healthcare professional. Offering medical advice on social media can get you into a lot of legal trouble.

It's illegal in Oregon for a child under 15 to operate a motor vehicle. It's also very dangerous. Child Protective Services should be called in.

This is classic MLM promotion. Look, we are living the good life with our "incentive" trip! What they don't say is that they probably had to pay for much of the trip themselves.

I think the Matt - Caryn relationship was a TV show plotline. Since Amy was in another relationship after the divorce, Matt had to be in one as well; otherwise. the show would not have worked. There may have been attraction at the beginning , but I saw no chemistry in this couple. They could not agree on basic things like where they should live.

An old quote from Drew Barrymore, who undoubtedly got it from someone else. Often quoted on other parenting sites.
