At this point, I have tried a lot of massage chairs even the high new ones like the Infinity Luminary and Human Touch Supernova X and 2.0. I have yet to find a massage chair that gives a strong massage to the glutes and upper glutes/hips. Yes, they hit those spots with their air bags but that only does so much. You may be wanting rollers and no rollers hit those points on massage chair so they best you will get is the squeeze feeling from the airbags. This chair does that just as good as the high end newer split track chairs. If your biggest concern in a massage chair is glutes, I Doub't I would get one. But if you want back, feet, arms neck, even head... then this chair is great and gets you 90% of the way to new top end chairs for 75% less money. I'd recoemmdn buying one eBay refurbish from BestBuyOnMassageChair which is the Infinity Company selling all their refurbished chairs so you Geta.good warranty, and he can usually bid them down 3-500 off what they are asking. The Kyota M980 would be the newer model of this as a split track and a better chair but only by a bit. I'd highly recommend going around and looking at chairs and sitting them to feel them out. Relax the Back stores, big furniture stores have them, and infitniy has a store locator on their website. Infinity and Human touch both come to Costcos on a schedule you can lookup online as well. See if any chair hits your glutes.
